Hello everyone

I’m trying to get sound to work on my CCTV system.

My setup is as follows

1x NVR 7708NI-I4 running 4.22.005 build 191208
1x DS-2CD4A26FWD-IZS running V5.4.5 build 170302
1x DS-2CD4A26FWD-IZHS running V5.4.5 build 170302
6x 2CD2385FWD-I running 5.6.3 build 190923

now I’ve been playing with this system for a year or two to get sound without luck. I’m now on my second microphone as the other wasn't powered so I thought that might have something to do with it, I wire them both...

There is a small selection of Hikvision cameras that support some sort of audio - audio I/O, built-in mic, 2-way audio - but on multiple occasions, customers have come back to us saying they are getting no audio on live view or playback. So to avoid this problem in the future we are creating this post to take you through the steps that must be completed to get audio from a Hikvision camera.

Hi

Weird one this one.

Presets 1 and 2 (the only ones I set) on a DS-2DE4A425IW-DE running the latest firmware keep changing literally by themselves. They move by a small amount (maybe 10-15 degrees) without input from me, the only one with access. Always the same direction - downwards and slightly to the right. I cannot find a specific time that the camera does this, but it's some time overnight.

Each day I can go into the camera, reset preset 1 and 2, and it'll be fine for a few...

I'm new to this and slightly confused.

It appears I can set line-crossing detection (for example) on the IP Cameras directly, as well as on the NVR (via the webui's). Even more confusingly, it appears they're not synced... if I change the Sensitivity setting on a specific Camera's webui, it does update the corresponding setting on the DVR.

So, what's best practise? Enabling line-crossing detection on the DVR, or Cameras independently, or both? If both are enabled, which...

Hi, I'm wondering if anyone has installed this camera before?

I bought it recently amongst a few other HIK bits for the house as I wanted something at the front porch that wasn't huge and had the ability to capture audio if required. I assumed that it would be covered on the data side of the POE cable but I'm thinking not after seeing all the plugs attached to it.

Can someone confirm that I will need to route some sort of audio cable with the Cat-5e before I get stuck into it? And if so...

Any ideas where to get the hikvision rain shield model: SRSM?

I can't seem to find any UK retailer selling this for some reason? Seems like something that should be stocked, after all it's just a rain shield for the wall mount..

Any ideas why/if any reason this isn't being sold in the UK?

Hi all, been using iVMS 4200 VS and quite liking it particularly on playback / smart events. HOWEVER for some reason i had to uninstall/reinstall. Now when I start it and try to login it says "the user does not exist" or similar. This true when trying ADMIN (and default of 12345 and 123456) and also Super User. I have uninstalled/reinstalled a couple of times but same issue exists.

Anyone else had similar or can share fix?
Interested in use of VS compared to full-blown and if its worth the...

Hikvision have released V4.21.005 for their K-series NVRs (only 76 77 86 NI-K2 K4 K8) , which you can download from the UK portal here:

Hi All.
I'm setting up two new cameras and an NVR and am having trouble with one of them (the colorvu DS-2CD2347G1-LU)
The D2345 works just fine and the NVR (DS-7604NI-K1) looks to be good too.

On the colorvu though, every time I try to enable WDR or HLC I get an error message "setting failed". Its fine on the D2345.
I've been through the manual and searched but can't see any particular setting that I've missed so as...

Hope someone can help me out here

I Recently installed a HIKVISION SMART ANPR CAMERA 8-32MM to my hikvision nvr .
I have it mounted before an entrance at about 50-60ft height and 15-20ft from where I am trying to capture reg plates .
It works really well during the day capturing reg plates but at night they all have a white glare and does not read any at all .

Hi

I'm having issues with my DS-7716NI-I4.

My Platform Access/Register Status is showing as Offline and I cant get it to change to Online no matter what I try.
I have spent five hours today going over the settings, I'm missing something silly I think.

to make things worse I'm not sure if it has been a problem since the NVR upgraded to NVR.4 or when I changed ISP to SKY from BT.

Any help appreciated

Hi,

Don't know if this is a simple fix, but I am able to connect remotely to my NVR using the Hik-Vision app. However, when I use a web browser to connect to the NVR, I can successfully log into my account, but when I click the IP address it will not load.

Does anyone know how I fix this? ? A firewall issue?

I'm looking to install a DS-KH8520-WTE1 10in indoor station inside an open-front kitchen cabinet, approx 12 inches from the wall so that the screen is flush with the front of the cabinet - either in a fixed position or on an adjustable mounting arm. A VESA-type TV mounting arm would do the trick but I don't think the Hikvision screens are VESA-compatible. Any suggestions?

Hi, I currently have a couple of Cameras connected to DS-7604NI-E1 and the cameras were using night vision at night, recently they have turned to colour only and I cant seem to find a setting anywhere which can set DAY/Night mode..?
Any Ideas?
I also tried setting Virtual host but it looks like this isnt supported on this NVR?
Any help will be appreciated.

In the last month, I took the plunge and bought a HikVision NVR (DS-7604NI-K1/4P) for home with four G1 Series IP camera's (2x 2355, a 2155 and a 2363). Cabled it all myself and I'm really happy with the results, worth every penny.

Hi

New to this forum as HikVision UK support refuse to help me as I'm not a trade customer. I'm hoping someone here can help.

We have an NVR model: ds-7732ni-14/16p and a people counting camera model iDS-2CD6810F/C. I have checked and both are running latest firmware.

We have had several customers and forum users reporting problems running iVMS-4200 since updating to MacOS Catalina (10.15), the reports have varied from some saying the software runs ok but does crash unexpectedly to others saying the iVMS software does not work at all.

If you have G1 cameras (2xx3G0/2xx5FWD/2xx5G1) and/or an I-series NVR you can get around the iVMS issues by updating to the latest firmware and logging in to the NVR/cameras with any browser using the 'plug-in free'...

Hi,
I have an analogue DS-2AF7264-A and it would happily sit and follow blowing branches, leaves etc.

However a week ago I as having a play with it and changed some settings and now it has ceased to follow movement. (obviously smart tracking is still on)

So my question is, before I do a factory reset and set it up again, can anyone think off the top of their head, which setting is likely to interfere with tracking?
