Good evening, newbie here

Bought Hikvision camera with model written in title with 12mm lens. When connected I spotted that video record so poor, I didn't expect it. Is there any settings need to be changed?

Hi We have 5 Hikvision NVR's various amount of cameras on each, some through PoE switch some PoE through NVR.

I'm trying to give my son's iPhone access to the Hikvision Video Intercom gate camera [easily done if I import it as an online device or via its IP number] and open/close button [not so easily done - these controls are already set up on my iPad and on three Hikvision slave wi-fi monitors]. To obtain these controls he has to import the intercom by scanning in its QR code - but his app reported that the intercom needed to be unbound [I'm not sure if it is bound to my iPad or to the three...

Hi,
My Hik-connect works fine in the UK. When I go outside the UK I received an error message that I can only be connected to one server at a time.


Any ideas why this could be?

I have to replace 3 damaged cameras on an older Hikvision NVR system (DS-7716NI-ST). It mainly had 1.3MP DS-2CD2012's connected to it with 4mm fixed lenses.

I'm looking to leave the NVR in place and swapout the damaged cameras with something a bit more up to date. What would work best with this older NVR? The client will probably swap out the full system later this year but for now just the broken cameras need to be replaced while a major revamp is planned.

Is there a way to import a custom logo into the original HIKVISION logo on the panes that aren’t being populated on the NVR?

Hello, First time posting on the site. I am getting a problem with pink ghosting with moving images on my Hikvsion PTZ camera DS-2DE4A425IW-DE I am using a DS-7608NI-I2/8P NVR.

This only happens when WDR "Wide Dynamic Range" is Enabled. When it is off the colors seem quite washed out without it enabled.

I have tried:
Factory resetting camera and NVR
Updating camera and NVR
replacing ethernet cables
used a POE switch to power the camera
used AC mains to...

Just installed for the very 1st time the latest Windows iVMS 4200 software, and ran it for the 1st time.

It's saying "Please Create a Super User First"
So that's a username and also password.

Now before I mess something up I thought I'd take the sensible approach for a change and ask first
Is this a completely new and separate username/pass I'm creating for this iVMS Client?
Or should I be entering in here, one of the previous password/usernames I've created for My Camera or HikConnect...

Hi,

Tried searching for this topic and didn't have much luck. I have a Hikvision NVR positioned in a remote room in my house, it's hard for me to run cables to it to set up a LAN connection and use iVMS to download. It's easy for me to swap out the hard drive when it's nearly full and download any content that I need by using an old Hikvision application called MVA. MVA is capable of detecting local disks that are plugged in and understanding the hikvision file system

Hi,

I have a new Hivision 4 channel Hikvision NVR as a replacement for a Dahua NVR that crapped out. I am so far unable to get the NVR to recognize the existing 4 cameras that I have connected. I suspect it is an IP address issue but as yet I have been unable to resolve it.

The existing cameras are Dahua IC-IP9113-28 (HDW 1320S), POE, ONVIF compatible. I removed one of the cameras and have it in hand. Since I suspected that I needed to find a way to modify the camera's IP...

I have just checked to see if there is any new firmware for my DS-7716NI-K4 / 16P and noticed that the V4 firmware version is no longer available on the UK download site.

I installer 2 DS-2CD2142FWD-1 cameras.
Both cameras Arne activared.
The only Way i could install the cameras in the HIK connect program is using the ip adress this means that it does not work without wifi .what am i doing wrong
If i in the HIK connect program try to install the cameras by using the serial number than the program fails to find the cameras on the network..

Dear all,
I have been running a Synology DS 713+ with local and far off POE switches. In the early days my workshop cams(over 140 meters from the server) were unreliable on copper cables in duct, so I installed a fibre link between switches to take care of 3 cams, an alarm and a internet connection.
I am thinking of upgrading the system and just using the old Synology for personal files. I can either buy another Synology and keep the fibre or maybe have a Hikvision made for purpose NVR...

Hi

I'm having issues with my DS-7716NI-I4.

My Platform Access/Register Status is showing as Offline and I cant get it to change to Online no matter what I try.
I have spent five hours today going over the settings, I'm missing something silly I think.

to make things worse I'm not sure if it has been a problem since the NVR upgraded to NVR.4 or when I changed ISP to SKY from BT.

Any help appreciated
