I have recently set up my NVR with PIR's on an alarm input to provide more reliable recording when somebody is on the driveway. Is it possible to differentiate the record duration of an alarm to that of video motion detection?

I was previously just using the video motion detection and I had the system set up for 5s pre record and 5s post record. For the cameras still using video motion detection my preference is to keep this.

Hi,

recently I installed 3 Hikvision DS-2CD3145 on a site (indonesia) using a 4G router.
I discovered the ISP operator (XL 4G aviata) is using NAT on his network.
I open port on router, make translation using port to access to the cams. But it did not work properly.

So I decided to use HIK Connect to manage the cams. At this point, I'm able to see the video stream, to know which firmware and if the cam are online, but I can't make a remote configuration... I tried with iVMS 4200 (last...

Hi,

I was wondering if someone help me navigate the HikVision download portal (its a bleeping nightmare). I'm trying to find the following NVR and camera's to update their firmware;
  • 8 Channel NVR: NVR-208M-A/8P
  • Mini bullet: IPC-B140
  • Vandal dome: IPC-D140

I'm trying to upgrade my device so I can use Hikvision's DDNS - is this the latest firmware, please? I can't get the file to upload if it is, and I'm not sure it will allow me to use Hik-Connect, either. At the moment I'm on v.13.0.15

Hi all,

Firstly thanks to Use-IP for putting together the Hikvision mega thread tutorial, greatly appreciated!

Anyway, using that thread I have been able to set up the NVR with 3 IPC's. All is working perfectly (eventually). I set up a HIK-Connect account, added the system and can see it in IVMS-4500 and the HIK Connect app - Happy days.

Issue came when trying to get the same NVR on the girlfriends phone. I got her to create a HIK-Connect account and I shared the NVR. On the web portal I...

Cant view remote playback in iVMS 4500

Hi, I'm new here! I'm hoping someone can help me.

I'm having an issue with viewing remote playback on the iVMS 4500 app.

I have 1 camera (DS-2DE3304W-DE) and a PC with the server software running.

I can view the footage on another computer running the client software.

When I log in to the camera and check the Storage Management, nothing shows. Is this normal?

The iVMS app just says 'No record file.' This is also true if I try to view playback via browser.

Any ideas?

Hi,

I have a Hikvision DS-7204HWI-SH DVR running 4 cameras which has recently started to play-up. The HD repeatedly produces errors, and needs to be re-formatted to get working again. Also, the Playback won't work any more (using either iVMS-4200 or via Browser or Hik-Connect) - just locks up in whatever viewer I'm using. All cameras work fine in "live" view, just Playback has the problem, so looks like a HD issue.

I've lost confidence in it and want to replace it, but I don't want the...

I have a Hikvision 7208HUH1 DVR, and the PTZ to a couple of cameras works fine via the menu on the DVR, using just the coax connections. However I would like to connect a dedicated PTZ controller to the DVR. Is this possible and do I connect via the RS-485 connection, or use a USB keyboard connection.

iVMS4200 unable to view 2nd device...

Hi guys,

Installed an Hikvision system today, and as it is family ive added it to my account as a 2nd system.

On iVMS4500 (Mobile) both system appear and can view them remotely.
On Hik-Connect mobile app i can also view both systems remotely.

If i log-on to Hik-Connect website i can see both systems in the list.

However, when i load iVMS4200 client on my PC, in device management i can see both systems as 'added' but only able to view the 1st system.
If i click the 'Main View' tab, only...

I have set up IVMS-4200 on a Mac and it works, and can connect to 3 different devices (hybrid DVRs). However, when I setup IVMS-4200 on Win10 it lets me add all the devices but when I go to Main View it doesn't give me a list of the 3 devices to select from. I just see the display as per the attached file and I can't see any devices at all

I have used hikvision DVR 4Channel. i installed ivms my mobile then i registered my device my Email id and added my device successfully working fine. Last week how to deleted my dvr from hik-connect. i tried to connect same Email id and password account is open but i scanned my dvr serial number its said operation failed. The device is added by other users. how to solve my problem please help any one

Using EasyIP 3.0 3/ 8MP cams with a Qnap NAS (TS-253a) running surveillance station.
h.264+ generally seems to work except with 8MP camera on higher/ highest quality although there's a notable delay in stream starting vs h.264.
The reduction in bandwidth/ disk use is exceptional on mainly static scenes, but may not be able to live with ghosting.

1) Is the ghosting usual for h.264+?

2) Is h.264+ known to work with Qnap? The TS-253a is Intel based with h.264 hardware acceleration which I...

I have 5 hikvision cameras, and none of them I have the correct time. I live in a GMT+1 zone and currently we have the summer time (1 hour more)
When I syncronize manually with my PC, after a while it goes bananas and shows 30 minutes less on one camera, on another camera it shows 1 hour less.
When I use the option NTP (I use an Italian server, ntp1.inrim.it, but tried others too) it gives one hour LESS, even if I correctly put GMT+1
so I try to fool him saying I...

Evening all.

I've lurked the forums quite a while now and recently installed my first Hikvision IP camera. I have to say the experience has been bitter/ sweet.

Firstly the picture is fantastic in 4k with highest settings. I am recording to a 128Gb SD card at the moment while I get familiar with the mobile apps and configuration etc.

I have been accessing the web GUI of the camera to alter settings and set up analytics which at first seemed pretty straight forward.

Hi, has anyone else seen Hikvision NVR changing connected camera IP address and therefore losing that camera? This has happened twice in a year in a system that I am taking care of. This time everything else seemed to be ok. The firmware was a couple of releases old and I upgraded the whole system yesterday.
My suspect is a malfunction caused by fluctuation of electric power because that system is in less populated rural area. I have never seen anything like this in my own installations...
