Hi All,

New to the site hoping I can get some assistance from some of you experienced people.

Bit of background, I am looking at options for our Strata security requirements.

I am not in the security business myself and haven't personally setup any of these type of camera systems before but I do work in IT and don't believe I should have too much trouble (unless I'm told otherwise) to configure/setup the system I am looking to propose for review/consideration.

What I need some help with...

Hi all,

I have a DS-7608NI-K2/8P NVR which currently has firmware V3.4.99. Build 180324 currently installed even though checking the portal it only seems to go upto V3.4.98. The NVR was bought from a UK distributor so I'm not sure how it has a later firmware than what's available on their FTP?

Im a tad confused with all the different series of NVR. Can anyone tell me if my NVR has V4 available at all with the new GUI? I can't seem to find anything so I'm guessing not, but does anyone have...

I’ve been hesitating posting a request for help in doing something. Up till now I’ve gotten everything except remote access (And That is out of my hands) going from the user guide, or browsing the web. (I’m a self taught person when it comes to network settings).
I have one camera and a fairly decent Synology NAS on GB Ethernet. I’ve got Motion Detect sending pics to NAS successfully.

With that said, I can find nothing in manual or online that would seem to indicate that
I can link motion...

Updated Hikvision camera to lastest firmware and need HELP!

I updated a DS-2CD2025FWD-I camera from firmware 5.5.51 to 5.5.61.
I'm logged in as admin. I no longer have an option to change the firmware back. See attachment.
I've tried restore to default on the maintenance page and a hard reset using the button on the camera. No luck.
Any suggestions?

Hoping you can help. NVR: DS-7604-NI-K1-4P(B) Cams: 4 x DS-2CD2355FWD-I.

I mounted the cams on my house yesterday, everything worked a treat. However, as you will see from the images, one of the cameras which started off fine, began to get Foggy. As the night progressed, it became worse until nothing could be seen. Even this morning the picture is still Foggy.

The other 3 cameras are fine, the only difference with this camera is the way its mounted (see img 31 & 32). The other 3 cams...

Hello!

Thanks for such an ace forum, I’ve been lurking and reading for a day or two, i've not been able to find an answer to my problem and i was wondering if anyone can offer me a little help.......

We hired a professional to set up a CCTV network of around 16 cams + 1 LPR. everything appears to be working perfectly except for the LPR cam.

We have a DS-2CD4A26FWD-IZS with firmware V5.4.2 build 160831 plugged into a DS-7716NI-E4 / 16P with V3.4.1 build 151225 firmware.

Hello everyone
Do you know if there is a way to stop iVMS 4200 from requesting HikConnect account re-login after a few days?
It is frustrating for the end user to have to input the login credentials again and again, sometimes even device serial number and verification code are required.
HikConnect app on mobile devices doesn't require that.

I have a DS-7608-NI-I2/8P. Firmware: V4.1.50. Build: 180423. H.264 is enabled.

In Playback, one file is produced for each motion event. In File Management, two files are produced for each motion event. Is that normal?

Hi,

I have Hik-Connect installed on my Android phone, but the playback function doesnt seem to work correctly.

If i access via a Hikconnect account, i get this weird skipping effect, where i can't scroll to specific times using the timeline - see screencap video below:

I have just purchased this doorbell and I'm having a problem with this doorbell not calling our phones (Samsung S8 on the latest OS) when the doorbell button is pressed. It rings occasionally, this tends to be when the phone is in use or has just been used or the app is open. If the phone goes into rest mode the doorbell ring notification will not work. I get the missed call notification, after the event and the motion detection notification comes through okay it just wont ring the phone at...

Weird "spot" on camera's images

Hello everyone,

I'd be grateful for your thoughts. Perhaps somebody can provide answers to this baffling [thing that is baffling; I can't find the right word...].
Camera model: DS-2CD2342WD-I. The camera is less than a year old. There's a "spot" that should not be there. The camera's lens has been cleaned; that did not remove it. It's not on the exterior of the lens.

Nightfighter; too much light?

I’ve an area which is reasonably lit where other Hikvision turrets struggled to get a good quality image (single frame) of a moving person at night, so I’ve tried Nightfighter. However, there seems to be too much light as whilst the camera does seem to switch to a night mode, it stays in colour but this generates a lot of noise and I am unable to get a good still image of a walking person. Is there some way to force it to mono (where I suspect the aperture can be smaller and with less...

Notification images not appearing for all cameras

Hi all,
Does anyone know why I am only receiving images on email notifications or under the message tab on HIK Connect for 1 of 3 cameras on my system?

I have line detection set up on all 3, which works fine as I get the emails/app notifications but only see images for CAM1. The emails for the other 2 cams have no attachments, and the app just displays an orange bell instead of a snapshot of the detection. Confused as firmware version is the same for 2 cameras that are behaving...
