DS 7608 playback issue ( No Resource)

Hoping for some help.

DS7608 NI I2 18p
V4.1.63 Build 190111
2 x HD
4 Cameras

Issue
Search for playback on any camera shows No Resource in the main screens, however if i hover the mouse over the timeline, i see there is footage there on the HD.
the thumbnail displays ok.

No settings were changed recently and up to today everything was working fine.

Tried the power cycle, but no joy
all cameras online in live mode.

any help appreciated
