Hik-connect playback jumping

Can someone give some advice as to how I fix an issue with my hik-connect playback? Any motion detection alerts get stored in the event tab. When playing back some can range from 30 seconds to two minutes. When watching the footage it appears that it records prior to and after the motion detection but at the point of motion detection on the playback it freezes sometimes for a period of up to 20 seconds and jumps the frame. I’ve not been able to get back to the exact point the video is lost...

Hey folks,

I've got a DeepinView camera, and wanted to know if this - How to set up Hikvision ANPR, is the most up to date setup instructions or if there is anything else?

I notice it says setup through NVR, are there any for setting up through a 4G router only?

Hey,

I installed an DS-2CD7A26G0/P-IZS(8-32mm) 2MP DeepInView Darkfighter Varifocal ANPR Bullet today (first install of this system).

It is connected to a 4G router, powered through a PoE. When plugged directly into the router I could connect and the live feed was fine. It turns out that 30-40 minutes after installing the camera and setting it up it stopped sending vehicle reads.

The back office it is integrated with hasn't been able to connect to it again, and it is showing an "Live...

Can you mount junction boxes with cable going up instead of down?

So I’ve got my junction boxes to mount my bullet cameras.
The wires come down from the roof so can I have the wire entry at the top facing up?
On the box itself it says up is the other way with cables going downwards?

Would having the entry hole of the junction box upwards be a problem or does the wire have to go in from below?
I’d just turn it upside down? Or is it to do with water getting in?

Hi

I'm having issues with my DS-7716NI-I4.

My Platform Access/Register Status is showing as Offline and I cant get it to change to Online no matter what I try.
I have spent five hours today going over the settings, I'm missing something silly I think.

to make things worse I'm not sure if it has been a problem since the NVR upgraded to NVR.4 or when I changed ISP to SKY from BT.

Any help appreciated

Help with exporting a file

Hello folks,

I am trying to get a file of an event onto a USB stick and seem to be failing dismally.

I have gone into the export menu and have identified the file that I want. To be on the safe side I have 'locked' it, I'm not sure if that is of any help though.

Having identified the file which is 11.33MB in size, I then click on 'Export' but when the page changes nothing is showing to export. the file size is shown in the bottom corner of the screen.

Does anyone have any thoughts on...

Upgraded firmware but old GUI

Hello all.

I have just upgraded my DS-7608NI-I2 / 8P to the latest V4.22.005 build 191208 firmware, However i was expecting the new GUI but it's the old one still.
Should it be upgraded to the new one or is this NVR stuck on the V3 GUI?

The upgrade looks like it has taken as there are a few different menus etc, but i still have to use IE to view live cameras so i'm not sure it's completely taken or not.
It says web version is V4.0.1 build 191120

Hi, I was wondering if someone could help.

I have purchased a Scandisk 64GB micro SD card (following a purchase of a Scandisk 128GB micro SD card) and when inserted into HikVision monitor "Formating Failed" message shown and screen shows TF Card Exception.

Model is DS-KH8340-TCE2

Any way of resolving this?

HikVision NVR Crashing

I have a new HikVision 6 Cam system that works well for about 8 hours, then the NVR crashes loosing all video streams.
A hard reboot (unplug/replug) usually brings everything back on line. The Kit is Model EK1-Q82T46 and the NVR is ERI-Q108-P8, purchased in September in USA. The NVR Firmware is V3.4.96Build180324 and when I try an on-screen update, it tells me that there is no Firmware update available.
The system looses video to a direct attached TV, to the iVMS-4200 software and...

Hi all

Apologies if I do not provide all the info needed to assist with this problem, I am not very techy...please ask and I will do my best to find out more info if needed.

We are running Hikvision CCTV and recently switched broadband providers - we have also set up a WIFI mesh system in the house to improve the WIFI signal.

Upon advice from the technician who set up our CCTV, I have added port forwarding on the Plusnet router and updated the IP address in the device settings on the IVMS...

Unable to upgrade firmware

Hi there,

I am trying to upgrade the firmware on my ds-2cd2532f-i cameras through my K4 NVR and keep getting an error message saying "D1 - Upgrade Failed" on all the cameras.

I am using the latest V4 firmware on my K4 and the cameras are working fine.

I have another K4 and the firmware updates are working fine.

I have also used the batch update program and gives me an unknown error message.

Any ideas?

Hello,

I'm hoping someone can help. I had 3 Hikvision cameras and an NVR installed in October 2018. Everything has been working great until we upgraded the routers yesterday to a Whole Home Mesh Wifi System yesterday. I have managed to get the NVR online and can see the 2 camera connected directly to it but not the front door camera.

The original setup was; 2 cameras front and back of house into the NVR in the loft. The NVR was then connected to a Wifi Powerline hotspot. The last camera...

Hi all

What size tower conduit do I need or what connector do I need to join it to a HIK junction box please?

Do most of you use conduit to hide external cables on residential and commercial installs or only at low levels and not too worried about the higher level cameras?

I'm trying to work out what is expected for an average install and taking into account cost, time and ease/speed... but with also being professional?

I know some installers who use no conduit on residential.... even at...

I have a HIKVISION DS-2CD202WF-I(W) camera. The stream through the HIKVISION webpage - accessed using the camera IP address - in Internet Explorer and the ONVIF Device Manager(ODM) in Windows 10 works fine without any lags.

But, when I try to stream using VLC, ffplay(ffmpeg), OpenCV C++ VideoCapture class in Ubuntu 16.04 & 18.04, there is a lag of approximately 2 seconds.

Max Size settings Smart Event

im wondering if you can help me i have the DS-2CD2135FWD and im unable to remove the "max size" setting in the smart event option, i press clear it disappears then i press " save " but when i come off the selected page and return back to the smart event page its back there again. I tried the factory reset using the hikvision page in safari and its still there and as a result the smart event is not picking anything up , only the " motion settings " pick up movement and that picks up...

Hello, I am hopeless with my NVR DS-7616NI-K2/16P and I hope someone here can advise me

In SADP tool I can set up the NVR IP address and change password, what I successfully did several times, however, when I want to login with admin and password using Microsoft Explorer and Mozilla, it says wrong user name and password.

When I try to use ivms-4200 3.2.0.10, or also older version, NVR is visible in Online devices, but when I add it into devices, it shows Offline message...

Hello,

Hoping somebody with the same camera an firmware installed can help me out.

Ive got a DS-2CD7A26G0-P-IZS ANPR Camera with firmware V5.6.10 Build 191023 which is the latest available.

Ive noticed that if a car enters that it will capture its plate details, but if it has only been in the area for less the 4 - 5 mins it will not capture the car leaving. but seems to be working fine if a car enters then leaves say 10 mins.
