Hikvision DVR not working

Hi There,

We have 4 HIK cameras and hard drive, for some reason they have gone off, looks like they have power to each camera, as when you look at them they have 2 red lights in each one, when you power up the hard drive you only get one white light and nothing else, it was making a beeping noise but seems to of stopped. I have it connected to a small monitor but nothing comes on the screen when you turn the box on and off. I have disconnected it all a couple of times including the Netgear...

Intrusion and line crossing marks in playback mode

7608 set for continuous recording, line crossing and intrusion detection only. I can view detection marks in playback mode on the local interface (NVR's monitor), but I cannot see those same marks when logged on via the web interface. I only get the blue line. I am in single camera mode, video playing, and I've set the button on the bottom left to both line crossing and intrusion detection - but no red marks in the time line. Any idea why?

Move Hikvision cameras from NVR to regular POE switch?

I want to relocate my Hikvision K Series NVR from our main room to a home office (noise reasons - the NVR is noisy!). Currently I have 6 Hikvision POE cameras directly attached to the NVR (using same admin passwords as NVR etc).

Can I simply plug those cameras into a POE switch in the same location, then move the NVR to the home office and plug it back into the home LAN? Will it automatically pick up the cameras on the LAN again or do I need to re-set them up so the NVR finds them?

Apple have just released an update to their Safari browser - V12.0

First reports are coming in that with this version of Safari it is no longer possible to view Live Video from your Hikvision cameras.

The latest version of the Mac plugin currently available is V3.0.6.23 (on that landing page click Downloads at the left side; this version is dated Feb 12th 2018) - this is the latest version of the plugin we can find...

Video intercom 2nd gen -how to control second door ?

hi everyone, do you know how can I control the second relay on main door station (DS-KD8003-IME1) ? From iVMS4200 I can set 3 passwords but all these passwords controls the first relay on main door station.
Also I do not see in the iVMS4200 any option to associate a PIN/password for first relay (door) and a different one for second relay (door)
I would like to know how can I control it over the SIP protocol.
My setup involves no indoor station(s) only the main door and asterisk and...

Hi,

how could I setup the many different necessary volume levels?

I think the firmware have to difference between:
- speaker volume outside
- microphone sensitivity outside
- calling sound outside (or disable? how?)

- speaker volume display
- microphone sensitivity display
- doorbell sound

But in the iVMS4200 software I can only find two volumes...

HikVision Dome Camera - Varying recording quality

Hi all,

We've got two HikVision Dome Cameras, both of which are DS-2CD2185FWD-I/G models. Both have excellent, high quality Live View's, but only one of them is consistently recording at this quality. The other one varies through the day, dropping from very high to what looks close to 240p and then later, returning to high quality. The first camera doesn't seem to suffer this issue at all.

Noisy Hikvision DS-7608NXI-I2/8P/4S NVR PSU fan?

Hi guys,
Recently I bought a NVR model DS-7608NXI-I2/8P/4S, but it has a terrible noise from PSU, it is always at maximum RPM.
I use only 2 IP port from total of 8, actually is no heavy energy load on PSU. Hikvision customer center has a silent approach for my question.
Never used Hikvision so far, all NVR have this noisy PSU?

Hello everyone!

Last year I bought 3x the Hikvision DS-2CD2155FWD-I via use-ip. I use the internal SD card to store the recorded video.

Some settings do not make much sense to me, and how they affect the performance of the camera when turned up or down. These are the 3 settings I am talking about: Bitrate Type, Max bitrate, Max average bitrate.
Unfortunately, the Hikvision manuals are not that detailed, and therefore I hope you guys can help me out.

Recently we've had a few customers who have experienced some issues with the PoE connectors on the pigtail of their Hikvision device that has caused it to stop receiving power. This can be as a result of a lot of things - faulty weatherproofing leading to corrosion within the connector, damaging it or just plain bad luck.

Hikvision themselves unfortunately do not offer replacement PoE connectors so...

Hi all

What size tower conduit do I need or what connector do I need to join it to a HIK junction box please?

Do most of you use conduit to hide external cables on residential and commercial installs or only at low levels and not too worried about the higher level cameras?

I'm trying to work out what is expected for an average install and taking into account cost, time and ease/speed... but with also being professional?

I know some installers who use no conduit on residential.... even at...

Intermittent Push Notifications

Hi all,

Has anyone else been experiencing issues with push notifications lately using the Hik-Connect app? It has been working flawlessly for me for a long time now but recently (last few weeks) the push notifications appear to be very hit and miss. Sometimes the push notifications are delivered, other times they are not.

If I open the app and go to the “Notifications” then I can see that all the event notifications are being delivered to the app but I don’t always receive push...

Hello, I am hopeless with my NVR DS-7616NI-K2/16P and I hope someone here can advise me

In SADP tool I can set up the NVR IP address and change password, what I successfully did several times, however, when I want to login with admin and password using Microsoft Explorer and Mozilla, it says wrong user name and password.

When I try to use ivms-4200 3.2.0.10, or also older version, NVR is visible in Online devices, but when I add it into devices, it shows Offline message...

Hi . I am new to CCTV and still learning.
I have recently purchased a DS-7608 N1-K2/8p with 4 DS-2CD2183G0-1 cameras.
I have so far set the cameras to the nvr. i have continuous recording set . I can access all on the device and on devices on the same router. (as yet i have not done settings for remote access).
My first question is am I correct that these cameras have an internal mic?
On the camera set up the video stream box is greyed out , so I do not have the option of Video/audio.
