Hik-Connect notifications not working

Hi all,

I am at wits end, I have been spending hours trying to get this working.

Basically, i have set up motion detection on my NVR 7706.
I have 4 cameras connected.
I get the beeping sounds when motion is detected from the NVR itself. and the Bell icon appears showing there was an event triggered.

However, I've set up Hik-Connect and added the NVR, which in turn now shows me all the cameras.

I have set up the cameras to enable notifications on the Hik-Connect app, however, no matter...

i recently bought a hikvision ip camera IPC-B640-Z the firmware does not have the cloud storage option hopefully someone can help me ive searched hikvision website for IPC-B640-Z firmware without success
the camera is using firmware V5.4.5 build 170921
does anyone know if there is an update available ?

Hi,
Has anybody found how you can set the zoom ratio for PTZ smart tracking on the I series NVR?
I have found it on the camera, but without being able to see the video in the preview you cannot set the Zoom ratio.

Hi all,

Just recently I am finding notifications to be an absolute pain. Some come through with the thumbnail, so come through with the bell icon, some are playable, some just sit at a percentage loading. What gives? Is this Hikvisions side. NVR and cameras are all up to date. There is no pattern either. Any help would be appreciated.

I have a Hikvision NVR DS-7608NI-I2/8P and one of the cameras is a DS-2CD2T45FWD-I5. This camera is on the front of my house and it has an LED motion detection flood light around 3 meters away. Of a night when this flood flight comes on the camera immediately freezes for around 2 seconds. Obviously this is some kind of sensor or something kicking in to alter the picture quality although I’m not sure. I do have it set to day time 24/7 so it doesn’t change to black and white. Anyone...

I was under the assumption that the IP camera: DS-2CD2386G2-I has a LED built in to flash when motion/intrusion detected etc?

I see no option to set this under the cameras setting... what are the two LED like cut outs for then?

Hi all,

Just a few questions about the NVR settings please.....


Under Advanced configuration and platform access there is a setting "Enable Hik-connect Server Time Sync".

Should this be ticked or not?

I have my NVR time set to update via NTP server.

Just wondered what this "Enable Hik-connect Server Time Sync " was.

Secondly, should H.265 be set to off as it is now and H.265 selected or the H.265+ setting turned on?


Is there a way to assign a SSL secure certificate to the NVR and...

How to view in web browser

Im tryingt to change settings on the NVR and any screen that is meant to show a live feed is just greyed out.
Tried IE and Firefox and with IE got so far as being asked to install a plugin but now just got a grey screen.

Any ideas?

Hi there,

quick question.. is the mount: DS-1294ZJ compatible with the camera: DS-2CD2385G1-I.

I need a mount that has a small surface area (needs to be mounted onto a flat porch sofit which is very narrow - too narrow for the camera to mount directly)

Q1. Do I need to set up DDNS if I only want to access my system on the local LAN? I'm not yet able to persuade my shiny new Hik video intercom to see my other IP cameras or to sync with the network time clock so wondering if I need to broadcast to the internet.

Q2. If I have a static IP would I want/need to set up DDNS?

Hikvision DVR can connect to Hik-Connect over same wifi network but not over internet.

Hi all.

I need some guidance please,
Recently purchased a DS-7104HGHI-F1 4 channel DVR, and connected it via the normal setup wizard, connected a single camera (not ip) via BNC, it is connected via LAN cab;le to a ASUS Router and i have managed to connect it to the Hik-Connect app.

when viewing the Hik-Connect app whilst on the same home network it connects just fine and i can see the live feed, however once disconnected from the home network (so ill be either on Mobile data or alternative...

Hikvision DVR can connect to Hik-Connect over same wifi network but not over internet.

Hi all,

I don't know if anybody could help me out but I have added one extra camera today to my HiWatch system NVR, there are two HiWatch 2mp Cams already installed on PoE switch in annex. Today I added another camera 2mp, but it is HiLook and not on PoE switch and just goes straight into the back of the NVR. Everything is working fine apart from the time and date on the two HiWatch cams have now turned large and the HiLook time and date is normal size (please see attached pic). Also I have...
