I've installed the latest browser plugin for windows and after logging in I get a message about starting localservicecontrol.exe triggered by UAC. I'm not keen on leaving this running but I'm guessing it will break Chrome integration if I disable? Any way to keep Chrome working and remove this? Thanks.

Problems configuring microSD card recording with a ds-2cd2443g0-iw
Hi everyone,
I had a friend who needed security for an event so i helped him by giving two ds-2cd2443g0-iw with microsd 32Gb
I setup normaly (format , continus recording, ect .. )
Now i try to recover the video but , it still says "no record file"
But the file are on the MicroSd, i'm getting mad, i have try :
Reboot computer
Run internet explorer has admin
IVS-4200 remote playback
Hikvision's Vsplayer version (says invalid files), both on microsSD and with a copy of files on my hard disk...

Pixellation via the Hikivision Hik-Connect app
Hi.
As a newbie,I have just had hikivision colorvu night vision cameras installed. I find when using the app to survail the cameras on my phone,I'm getting pixilation and colour blot on the video in hd.this doesnt happen on the monitor.my internet connection is excellent,and phone is ok with hd videos etc.in basic it's ok with a little bit of pixilation but very very little.just wondering if its their servers or me??

DS-7616NI-I2 - No event markers on normal playback
I recently replaced my DS-7608NI-K2/8P with a DS-7616NI-I2/16P NVR (FW 4.22.005). All cameras are recording 24/7 and I also have line crossing events configured on each of the cameras configured to trigger the channel and push notifications. The alarms all work correctly, however I'm no longer seeing the red event markers in the timeline for normal playback. This is on the locally connected monitor. Any ideas?

Problem seeing my Hikvision cameras on phones
Hello, new here! Total camera newbie too, with a simple question.
I just moved into a home that had a Hikvision system that they left behind, unconnected. I was able to get it going...
Cameras are POE (learned all this as I went) plugged into a Hikvision DS-7108NI-SN/P NVR.
The NVR is running into my Internet Gateway provided by Comcast here in the US.
It all works, I can see my cameras through my LAN on an AppleTV app, as well as on Live View on the NVR.

DS-K1T804MF Fingerprint Access Control Terminal Can Not Activate
I bought the DS-K1T804MF Fingerprint Access Control Terminal and did all the setup steps. SADP Picks up the unit. But in iVMS-4200 the unit does not allow the option of being activated. I assume it is something to do wth the IP/ Subnet Mask/ Gateway, but i have no knowledge on how this works and which IP I have to change. Hik-Connect also does not pick up the unit.
Any advice would be much appreciated.

Floureon DVR with HIK cameras

I think my HIK DVR is knackered i cannot get hold of the guy that fitted them so cannot return the DVR, its around 12 months old, is it possible to get a Floureon DVR to work with the latest HIK dome cameras or do you have to stick with HIK DVR and camera's

HIKVision on LG Smart TV
Hi there - just about to go down route of investing in a bunch of HikVision IP cctv cameras for the house and one of their 16 port NVRs.
Was trying to figure out how will wire to get signal to TV's in the house, when I spotted the Smart IPTV app on LG.... which looks like it should be able to allow me to view the streams from each camera.
A few questions. How do I test the stream from a camera on VLC to see if it works ok? And then how do I then set in up on SmartIPTV app to view on...

Alternative plugin to Web Components
Hi Guys
Is there an alternative plugin I can use other than IE only Web Components? The Image doesn't display correctly with my graphics card for one, and I have to use IE or Chrome ith IE browser support to view my cameras.
Has Hikvision developed anything else recently, seen as though all new browsers have dropped this kind of plugin support?
I know I can install IVMS but I don't want to leave my PC or NAS on all the time to record footage, I am happy saving it to the SD card in the...

Basic Query - If you have a NVR is there any point/benefit in also using a SD Card?
Title says it all really.
If you don't wish to, for some reason, or can't afford to purchase a dedicated NVR, then having an SC Card slot in a security cam is a great option.
However, if you do have a NVR which all your camera's connect to. Is there any benefit/reason to also having a SD Card fitted in your camera's
Or is such a setup totally pointless?

Do not update to this model ds-2cd2041g1-idw1
The latest firmware version for G0 5.5.87 worsens worse from the camera menu after the update can not stop the infrared
and the camera no longer connects to the nas server samba cifs

[Oct 2019] iVMS-4200 software for Mac
Just wondering if anyone is still using iVMS-4200 software for the Mac and it is working under OS 10.15 (Catalina). Mine isn't. I have v.2.0.0.10 and that seems to be the latest. Mine crashes all the time.

for some reason, I cannot watch the full playback for yesterday? It seems to be an occurring theme. There are also times when I cannot watch the recent playback (same day) for several hours after the fact. Is there a way to fix this?

Any Mac users happy with iVMS-4200 v2.0.0.10?
I've just been trying it out and it seems to contain plenty of bugs while also ignoring the Mac GUI.
It won't let me resize windows manually by dragging a corner. On my 5K (5120 x 2880) monitor (27in iMac running High Sierra), I am forced to choose an app window of either 1680 x 1050 or full screen with nothing in between. Unless I'm missing something.
I'm also peering myopically at tiny interactive buttons which all look the same (even when I change my screen resolution to 2560 x 1440)...

New intercom/doorbell system spotted for those looking
I was just about to purchase the second generation intercom system for my home, I'd been dragging my feet for months due to the size of the outdoor unit, despite it being rather ascetically pleasing i also wanted a card reader module so it became a 2 gang unit and there rather large and i felt would look out of place on my front door, this morning i went onto the Hikvision website to check part numbers before i ordered as there is the IP or the 2 wire setup, however i spotted this;

Hi,
Does anyone know if when connecting an ONVIF camera to an Hikvision NVR via plug 'n' play, does it alter the password to the IP camera?
I manually set the IP camera password to a default expected by Hikvision NVR, and changed the ip address to be within the Hikvision NVR subnet.
After enabling virtual host, I cannot log into the ip camera with the password I had setup prior to connecting it to the hikvision NVR.

Hikvision 2nd Gen Video Intercom - is it broken?
Just installed and it's either broken or not fit for purpose imho - but what do you think? The linked clip from my new Hikvision DS-KD8003-IME1 Door Station was taken at native 1080p resolution from a live view in iVMS-4200 (it looks the same in other viewers).
