Is there a way to hide the "No Link" message shown on unused NVR Channels?

Q:

Hi, when I have 10 cameras connected to a DS-7716NI-I4-16P and when I view the 4x4 multi-view I see 6 black boxes showing "No Link" in the centre, obviously because I'm not using those channels at the moment.

Is there a way I can hide the "No Link" message so it's just a black square?...​

Hi. I’m new to the world of HikVision PoE cameras and NVR’s. So far, I’ve successfully set up my HikVision DS-7732NI 16-channel NVR unit via a LCD monitor directly connected to NVR, though only with 8 cameras connected at this stage. There‘s only one problem... I opted for 10-second auto-switch one camera view at a time, but every time the 9th, 10th up to 16th channel comes into view, it displays ‘No Link’. Can I somehow set the NVR to only display (scroll) those 8 camera live views which...

Is there a way to hide the "No Link" message shown on unused HikVision NVR channels?

Hikvision NVR and 3rd Party POE Cameras

Hi,

I have a new Hivision 4 channel Hikvision NVR as a replacement for a Dahua NVR that crapped out. I am so far unable to get the NVR to recognize the existing 4 cameras that I have connected. I suspect it is an IP address issue but as yet I have been unable to resolve it.

The existing cameras are Dahua IC-IP9113-28 (HDW 1320S), POE, ONVIF compatible. I removed one of the cameras and have it in hand. Since I suspected that I needed to find a way to modify the camera's IP...

DS-9632NI-I8 - Load Balance?

Hi,

The user manual of my DS-9632NI-I8 says I can get the NVR to load balance, if I give both NICs the same IP.

I can certainly do that, but what should I set the "Working Mode" to? "Multi-address" (which seems to be for 2 different networks), or "Network Fault-tolerance" (where one NIC backs up the other)?

There isn't a separate "load balance" option in the dropdown...unless I need to change the IPs or turn off DHCP first...but I wanted to figure out the proper procedure before I create...

I'm making this plea again, because every day we continue to get calls and enquiries about "odd" issues, features "not working", cameras "gone faulty", cameras that have "gone offline", no longer being able to see video in my App, on my Mac, in IVMS-4200, in my browser, etc.
95% of those callers own HikVision systems.
50% of those callers are what you might term disbelieving when told they need to update their firmware.
Especially if it's a young female member of my team that gives...

Breaks in recordings

Hi All,

My NVR has x2 cameras assigned to it, both cabled directly to the NVR. The NVR is set to continuous recording.

I noticed today that there was a brief 3 minute period where recording on both cameras had stopped.

I checked the previous day and there was a similar instance at a different time.

What could be causing this? It's as if the NVR has restarted.

Camera offline - Network abnormal error

Hi Guys,

I've had my CCTV system installed for years now but this week 1 of my cameras lost connection and I can't seem to figure out why. I have 3 cams connected via POE to the NVR which are working fine, the issue cam is connected on the LAN via powerline adapters and a POE injector at the camera end.

If I webview the IP of the issue cam I can see live view working OK, the issue is that the NVR no longer sees this camera.

I've updated the firmware from 5.5.5 but still cannot view it on...

DS-7616NI-I2 - No event markers on normal playback

I recently replaced my DS-7608NI-K2/8P with a DS-7616NI-I2/16P NVR (FW 4.22.005). All cameras are recording 24/7 and I also have line crossing events configured on each of the cameras configured to trigger the channel and push notifications. The alarms all work correctly, however I'm no longer seeing the red event markers in the timeline for normal playback. This is on the locally connected monitor. Any ideas?

No Live View Ivms-4500 iPhone

I recently installed Ivms-4500 lite on both an iPad and iPhone. I only wish to use them on my home network linked to a Hikvision DS-7608NI-K2/8P with 5 poe cameras. All seems fine with the iPad but although I can play recordings on the iPhone I can't get Live View to work. The Cameras are listed but when I attempt to get Live View working with any of them the symbol spins for a second then stops with no message. Has anyone got any suggestions as to how I might resolve?

Hi all

I have the Hikvision DS-7612NI-E2 NVR and a couple of the Dahua 4831-EMP-ASE cameras, i am trying to use the motion detection setting on the camera and have it record on the Hikvision NVR, the detection works on the camera but the NVR is not recording anything. If the NVR was set to record continuously it does without any issues.

Hi all,
just bought video intercom door station (DS-KV8102-IM) and Video Intercom Indoor Station with 7-inch Touch Screen (DS-KH6310-WL)
from the indoor station I can see the camera on the door station hear everything, open the electric lock, answer call from the door station, everything is working great.
the issue is with the HIK-connect App, iv added the indoor station, now when someone ring outside at the door station I got the call via the App to my iPhone, I can talk to that person from...

Alternative plugin to Web Components

Hi Guys

Is there an alternative plugin I can use other than IE only Web Components? The Image doesn't display correctly with my graphics card for one, and I have to use IE or Chrome ith IE browser support to view my cameras.

Has Hikvision developed anything else recently, seen as though all new browsers have dropped this kind of plugin support?

I know I can install IVMS but I don't want to leave my PC or NAS on all the time to record footage, I am happy saving it to the SD card in the...

Didn't see this one coming :)
Just testing out my Camera and Fitted in a Samsung EVO 64GB SD Card and formatted it.
Set the recording to be continues and all seems fine.
I can playback the video files from the Web Interface just fine.

Or course, it would be nice to download them to my computer if needed.

So I made a quick silly name so it's easy to find, folder called Amiga on my local PC hard drive and entered it here.
Just as a quick simple test you understand. Will have better folders...

iVMS-4500 connected to nvr but live view gets connection failed error

Hi all, hopefully someone can point me in the right direction. The HiLook NVR-104MH-C/4P device is joined to my LAN via cat5 to Sitecom switch then to to Linksys WRT1900 ACS. I have installed the iVMS app and added the NVR as a device but when I click Live Camera I get a connection failed error.

Any thoughts would be brilliant

Language and wizard upon repower

Why does my DS-7716NI-K4 ask to select language and go through wizard every time it is down powered and powered up again? Why can it not just reboot in to English automatically. It gets frustrating and am wondering as to what may happen in a power cut/restore situation.

Will the auto tracking feature on a Hikvision PTZ camera allow it to zoom in to its maximum zoom ratio automatically?

We're frequently asked if Hikvision PTZ cameras will automatically zoom in to their maximum ratio when they are automatically tracking a target. After talking to Hikvision, we found out that you'll need to do the following to enable the camera to do this:

On the camera's menu (via a web browser) navigate to:

Configuration > PTZ > Smart Tracking

Here, set the Zoom Ratio to its maximum value, which will then allow the camera to automatically zoom to this maximum...
