Hello.

I recently got a Hikvision NVR 6404 which I access via IP from my firefox browser.

The live view unfortunately just works with a sub stream and other functions like events I can't use as I can't see the stream, just a black field.

I don't have a problem with the Android software to access it, or direct via the NVR and a HDMI connection to my tv.

How can I solve this, as I prefer the web browser to control it please ?

I want to buy a Hikvision DS-2CD2142FWD-I dome camera [or a Hikvision DS-2CD2342WD-I turret camera] but I have a question I wonder if you can help with?

I want to mount this camera directly to a vertical wall of my house. Is this possible, and if so are there any drawbacks to doing so?

Would it be necessary for me to buy a mounting...​

I have a Hikvision DS-2CD2532F-IWS of which I suddenly have difficulties to access remotely.
I have a fixed external IP-address.
The camera has a fixed internal IP-address from the router.
Port 80 is open to the fixed internal IP-address (I have checked that port 80 is open when I use a search tool).
I can access the camera when on the came network - both via the internal IP as well as external IP.
UnDP is disabled.

Hello,

i have activated the zero-channel live view to see all cameras on one page. But the quality of the video is very poor, seems to be lower than in substream mode. Bitrate and frame settings are at maximum (2048kBps, full frame rate).

A friend with exact the same NVR does not have this problem, the video is very sharp and clear (and he uses lower bitrate).

Does anyone have an idea?

Hello,

i have some problems with my new DS-7608 NI-I2/8P:

The NVR reboots randomly and is not able to record continous my 4 connected cams. Another point is, that sometimes it takes very long to see the login screen if i try to connect inside my LAN. The time to see the Screen varies from 1s to 30s.

It seems for me the NVR is "busy" with something...does anyone have an idea?

Hi folks, I had my camera for well over a year and recently updated it to FW V5.4.0 build 160530. I was able to connect to it wirelessly, have notifications sent out through motion sensor functionality and accessed my camera through iVMS-4500 all this time. However, about 1 week ago I noticed I was no longer able to access my camera at all. No matter what I tried, I could not log into it or view it on iVMS-4500 app.

Without much options I decided to do a factory reset to see if that would...

Hello all,

i have a quick question. I will buy the 7608NI-I2 (8ch) and I see that it has 2 SATA slots. I was wondering what HDD I should buy for it... I see that WD makes the Purple series that is for Surveillance equipment. Is this the correct one to use?

Also what size in TB should they be? I don't want recording 24/7, just when alarms set off on one of the cameras (which will probably be the DS-2CD2342WD-I ones).

Hello guys

I was thinking they are the same, but unfortunately it bricks my machine.

I would appreciate if you have experience or advice to fix this problem that could share with me.

Yes, it is a Chinese device so I used hiktools lang to change the firmware before upgrade, the update was smooth but after that the device goes to bootloop after the hikvision logo display and several beep sounds.

We have recently bought a hikvision system consisting of 37 cameras:
DS-9664NI-I8 (8x 4TB WD Purple NV, RAID-6, 3.4.90 build 160926)
DS-2CD2142FWD-I (5.4.1 build 160525, 5.4.0 build 160511)
DS-2CD2742FWD-I (5.4.0 build 160401)
Powered by multiple HP Procurve 2920 PoE+
Of the 37 cameras we had installed in October, 2 had developed strange faults:

Cam 1:

In order to access from outside the LAN, should I use EZVIZ or iVMS/HiDDNS?
