Mac OS High Sierra 10.13.6 and iVMS-4200.

After upgrading to the latest version of iVMS-4200 some months ago, and also upgrading the firmware on my Hikvision NVR DS-7604N1-K1/4P I have tried to access my set up online several times only to admit defeat on each occasion. I am losing the will to live. I cannot get Live View and I fear that because of my tinkering with all the info within the iVMS-4200 application, I may have in some way crashed the system. Perhaps I should approach it as a new user , scrub everything, and start again...

Setting up motion event settings - NVR or IP Cam?

Hi,

After updating to 4.00+ FW, and updating cameras, I have noticed there are motion setting options on the cam IP page that there isn't on the NVR e.g "Expert" Motion settings which allows you to customise a box area with sensitivity and percentage.

My questions
1)Do the settings made on the cam IP web portal trump the settings on NVR web portal?
2)Should I be setting up motion /events on each cam IP web portal separately or NVR web portal?
3)If I should be setting up motion/events on...

IVMS4200 - PC to MAC

Hi All,
I am attempting to transfer the management of my IVMS4200 from my windows laptop to MAC.

When downloading the software ver MAC 0.0.12 I don't get the Wizard prompt to setup??

Once it is logged in with User and Password I do not get the full access to all functions.

I really hope someone has advise.

I'm making this plea again, because every day we continue to get calls and enquiries about "odd" issues, features "not working", cameras "gone faulty", cameras that have "gone offline", no longer being able to see video in my App, on my Mac, in IVMS-4200, in my browser, etc.
95% of those callers own HikVision systems.
50% of those callers are what you might term disbelieving when told they need to update their firmware.
Especially if it's a young female member of my team that gives...

Hikvision CCTV system using Point to Point link, viewing issues

We installed a 5 camera CCTV system (all Hikvison cameras and 8 channel NVR). The 5 cameras are located about 300m away from where the NVR is located. The Point to Point bridge is created using a TPLink CPE kit.
When the TPLink was activated connection was made immediately with a 5 bar registration. At installation the cameras all came up successfully on the NVR. We have been viewing the cameras and recording via the IE chrome extension on a laptop, via the wireless LAN.

Pixelated/Randomly losing the main stream- from my Hikvision IP cameras?

Everything is working fine except I randomly lose view of the main stream on both camerasat the same time.
Using the Hik-Connect app, the main stream loads to about 90% then nothing.
Using the nvr and monitor the main stream is just a black screen.
Using the NVR web page, the live main stream is just a grey box.
My internet is stable at, 370 DOWN 37 UP
The sub stream loads fine.

Hi folks,

I currently have the 7604NI-K1(B) and it feels like the software is often buggy, likewise playback can be hit or miss on my 8mp & 6mp cameras (3 of them). it’s ok if I set the quality quite low (I have to set them with a max 3072 bitrate, and low quality video) in order for them to play, If I increase the bitrate or video quality to high, the NVR refuses to playback via the Hik-Connect app , (yet the specs of the NVR suggests it can handle 10mbps per channel) likewise the Mac web...

Door Lock Time < 6 Seconds

Hi,

my DS-KD8003-IME2 is now working fine for a few months. This weekend i'm connecting the door lock to NO1. It is working but i can't reduce the time under 6 seconds.

The iVMS is telling me "Error code: HCNetSDK.dll[11].(Data transmission failed, incorrect data to or from the device.)

Is less then 6 seconds really not possible??

I have lost my sub-stream after a reboot of the swtich/camera. I can be logged into the NVR and the camera at the same time. When logged into the camera I can view the main and sub stream no problem. When I select the substream in the NVR/configuration menu for the same channel camera, I get "The camera does not support the function." The main full resolution stream works fine. HikConnect app works fine as well.

IVMS4200 on a separate PC is also reporting Error Code HCNetSDK.dll[91].

Several forum users have made us aware of problems with the latest v4.30.005 firmware, not everyone seems to be experiencing problems and the linking factor between those experiencing issues appears to be that they had updated from the old v4.21.005 firmware. This firmware was made public late last year on the Hikvision portal but then swiftly removed as Hikvision said that the K-series were not designed for and could not properly support the full v4 firmware, which was why they have now...

Set up the same as
DS-2CD2085FWD-I
DS-2CD2185FWD-I
It records video to the SD Card but no pictures ?? (the test to the FTP server works but no pictures)
Any suggestions please?
