4K on 5MP NVR

Hi, I have the DS-7600 Series NVR and I am looking to ad more cameras.
It says on the box -Up to 5MP recording Resolution? Can I ad the 4K Cameras or do I need to stick to 5MP Cameras.

Updated NVR firmware from v3.4.0 build 150929 to V3.4.3 build 160822 and cameras are now offline

Hello,

After updating the firmware of my NVR, I cannot see all 5 of my IP cameras. I have 8 cameras in total but 3 are external to me. All 5 managed internally are no longer working. Their status says "offline (IP Camera does not exist). When I change the mode from 'plug n play' to 'manual' and change the password to that of the NVR, the status changes to "offline (abnormal network)". I tried using SADP but the offline cameras do not show up. I have been trying to troubleshoot for hours to...

Hi,
We have recently bought a hikvision system consisting of 37 cameras:
DS-9664NI-I8 (8x 4TB WD Purple NV, RAID-6, 3.4.90 build 160926)
DS-2CD2142FWD-I (5.4.1 build 160525, 5.4.0 build 160511)
DS-2CD2742FWD-I (5.4.0 build 160401)
Powered by multiple HP Procurve 2920 PoE+
Of the 37 cameras we had installed in October, 2 had developed strange faults:

Cam 1:
Connecting to the NVR with iVMS-4200, Select Cam1 for live viewing.
Selecting Main Stream shows the Sub Stream.
Selecting...

Good morning,

After adding some more cameras to a working Hikvision install we noticed the playback using Apple and Android mobile devices was unreliable. Playback would stutter, stall or display an error.

All the recordings would playback fine on a desktop PC running iVMS4200.

New cameras were 2025, 2055, 2625 - all with the latest firmware.

It was only by accident we discovered that disabling H.265+ on a camera would resolve the problem. With H.265+ disabled the recordings would...

Hik-Connect mobile app reconfigures main stream to 720p

Good morning,

We have noticed that toggling the video format Basic/Standard/HD in the Hik-Connect mobile app can permanently reconfigure the mainstream video parameters on the camera. As a result recording quality is incorrectly set to 720p.

Testing shows that Hik-Connect mobile app will change the mainstream to 720p, CBR, Max rate 512K. This happened on a variety of 2 line cameras we tested.

How to show a custom view as startup default

Using iMVS-4200. A rather basic question, but I can't see anything in the forum or the Hikvision Help.
How do you configure the client iMVS-4200 to start with the custom view that I've created?
Currently it comes up with the standard 4 image view and I have to manually select my custom view (6 cameras as 1 main image and 5 smaller). That's not a big deal I agree, but most apps have a default startup position.
The word 'default' in the iMVS-4200 only seems to relate to the 4 preset views...

I recently installed a client PC (Lenovo M900 Win7 64bits i7 6700 3.4GHz 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD), upon which we are running iVMS-4200 2.6.2.6

The client complained about a visual issue in which there seems to be a 'pixelling' effect on each camera thumbnail in the main grid view

Ghosting on "use-ip Purschased"

Hi

I'me getting ghosting and lag at certain times on playback direct from the NVR Hikvision DS-7604NI-K1-4P. Sometimes if people are recorded walking to the front door they also stay in place for a minute or so.

Any Help would be great

Hi everyone
I just got a Hikvision ds-2cd2042wd-i and trying for hours, I am still not able to access it in the browser. I must say I am used to Foscam, they are not exactly easy, but nothing on that level!

I was able to activate the Hikvision using SADP. Setting password and then try to access it via Browser and the stadard set IP 192.168.0.64 - nothing. Neither directly PC-Camera connected nor on the network. And trying different IP settings, f.e. DHCP or specific IP and then over the...

bricked Hikvision NVR (DS-7716N/16P)

Hi

I have bricked my NVR... Its a DS-7716N/16P . It boots now with constant beeps (maybe 10-15 beeps) and then reboots. I have downloaded TFTP tool from Hikvision. But it it cannot connect to the NVR. I can ping the address of it (192.0.0.64) but in TFTP it never sees it. I have tried turning off the firewall but no success. Is there any other way (serial) to recover the bricked NVR ?

So I have installed on Hikvision DS-2CD2142FWD-I PoE camera at my relatives connected to a TP-Link TL-SF1008P 10/100 PoE Switch.

Cable run from switch to cam is with 24AWG solid copper Cat 5E cable at about 10 meters in length.

I tested the cable after I terminated it with a cheap and simple cable tester to ensure all 8 wires are connected and in the right order, and it all showed as fine as expected. (I am not new to making patch/Ethernet cables, have done a few dozen before to the...

Hikvision 7608 recording gaps.

Hi all

I have a DS-7608HUHI-F2 / N and the problem is that every night around 03:00 every camera both IP and analog looses about 45 seconds of recording, not all at the same time It seems that camera 1 gaps at exactly 03:00:00 then nr 2 at 03:00:45 and so on.
Anyone know if that is a build in function and if so it is possible to move the time of it?

The problem is that one of my ptz cameras often looses focus after the gap and recording of course gets blury.
Running on V3.4.80 build...

I have a DS-7604-E1/4A NVR with three identical turret cameras installed. They have been in operation for several months, all viewable remotely using the EZVIZ cloud login and/or my android phone. Sometime in the last two weeks Camera1 stopped being visible on the web. I visited the installation today to find the camera working correctly as far as the NVR is concerned: - live view OK, still recording as it should, and no gap in previous recordings. There is still no stream from this camera...

Camera not visible remotely, but OK locally.
