EZVIZ Studio - remote access without a browser

I have two similar installations (Hikvision NVR, with DS-2CD2342WD turret cameras) previously accessed remotely via the EZVIZ website, using Firefox and the EZVIZ plugin, and/or by android phone. After the last recent 'update' Firefox no longer works.

While looking for an answer, I found EZVIZ Studio on the support page at www.ezvizlife.com where it is simply described as 'Smoother desktop software for Windows' (There doesn't seem to be a Mac...

Hello all
I have the Hikvision DS-2CD2042WD-I, and after all the troubles I had setting this up (camera manufacturers really still have not arrived in the 21th century have they), I am glad I made it this far, that I can really access the camera in the browser.

Now I am trying to get a picture saved on motion detection, to my ftp server. A testfile has successfully been saved to the server. But upon movement in front of the camera, nothing is recorded.

In "event" I did activate motion...

I am the happy new owner of above mentioned camera and am quite new to the install procedure and everything about managing ports etc. in my router. In fact I have fiber network at home and only adsl on the other place ( my summer cottage).

Of course I have read all stuff I have found about install (manual) and seen youtube videos.

My first question is what I have tried to put in the heading, will I disturbe the settings or complicate the install at my summer cottage later if I first do an...

For over 3 months I have been looking on Ebay for Genuine Hikvision DS-2CD2742FWD-I so far I have bought 2 however both of them had to be returned due to not working .

My system is about 18 months old and have 3 x DS-2CD2742FWD-I and 3 x DS-2CD2T42-I5 and 1 x DS-2CD2642FWD-I or the past 18 months I have replaced 2 x DS-2CD2T42-I5 with DS-2CD2742FWD-I however over the past 3 months I have bought 2 more Hikvision DS-2CD2742FWD-I and every one has not worked it all lights up but when you check...

Hi

Can anyone tell me if HikVision sell dummy versions of their CCTV cameras?

I'm currently installing a system using a number of DS-2CD2355FWD-I cameras and it would be useful to add a number of dummy units but none of the dummy cameras commercially available look anything like these.

It is very important to keep your camera and/or NVR firmware up-to-date.
The below link leads to a recent full disclosure of a weakness found in the firmware of HikVision devices.
The weakness was shared with HikVision back in March 2017.
HikVision released new firmware to resolve the issue.
Now, the weakness has been publicly fully disclosed:

Does Hikvision DS-2CD4A25FWD-IZH running V5.4.5 170302 still support LPR/ANPR?

Is there a LPR firmware for DS-2CD4A25FWD-IZH on V5.4.5 170302 that will work? Camera started with V5.3.0 150513 but I accidentally upgraded to the that regular firmware first.
I know that the older V5.3.8 build 160126 will work but camera won't let me go back to any firmware past V5.4.0.
I already tried LPR firmware V5.4.3 161207 (which worked great on my DS-2CD4A26FWD-IZH), V5.4.5 170123 and V5.4.5 170519 with no luck.

Any ideas?

Hello I have a 1 day old DS-7616NI-K2/16P with POE. I use the build in switch and connected 6 new Hikvision cameras DS-2CD2155FWD-I 5 MP. I use the 1 + 5 liveview and all works as expected except there is a problem making the whole setup unuseable and I will soon return it to the shop if I can't solve it. I think it is a bug but hopefully not.

I only use the software in the NVR to manage and to see the cameras. I'm not interested in using webbrowsers or other software. I bought a complete...

i find this forum very usefull.
im in IP cam business some time now,mostly working with hikvision. but never experienced this odd problem.

setup is: DS-2CD2342WD-I camera ,PoE switch and DS-7608NI-E2/A server..
cammera working 2weeks with no problem,then suddenly no more-it was on DEFAULT settings. ok set up one more time,update FW to 5.4.4,hopefull this will work. but today same thing happens.
the other cam is same model and working with no problem.
is just faulty cam?or some possible...

Hi all
I have a turret hikvision DS-2CD2342WD.I firmware v5.4.5 24/01/17 and have no password have tried the reset calculators online & emailed hikvision but had no reply also has no reset inside unless I have missed it? Any help would be appreciated.

Hi All,

Newbie question regards my DS-7616 that I'm still coming to terms with.

Simple question I haven't found addresses in the doc's as yet.

My local subnet is 192.168.59.0, the NVR is on 192.168.59.39 ATM.

I have 2 cameras on the first 2 ports, IE 192.0.0.2 & 3.

But there are also 2 existing cameras connected directly to my network via the main switch,
at 192.168.59.64 & 65.

Can the NVR be configured to see & use these cameras, providing of course that I can identify the path to...
