Camera Has to record on Local storage, when it loses connection to the server

Is there anyway to record on camera local storage only when it looses connection to the server.

Situation Camera is streaming normally to the management server, suddenly it looses connection to the server, in this situation camera has no connectivity to the network server, so it has to record on its local storage(SD card), once the connection is replaced again between network server and camera, network server will retrieve the video which is recorded during network loss.

HikVision have released new V4 firmware for some NVR ranges today.
It's a big change to your user interface, so you might want to set some time aside (and maybe wait a few days for feedback from the pioneers) before making this update!

The Cam lose the Gateway IPv4 configuration...!!!

Good Morning,

I have several DS-2CD2142FWD-I cam installed on my network but sometime, without reason the cam lose the Gateway IPv4 address configuration. Field Blank!! The DHCP is enable.
I must reboot him, and the cam find again the gateway address. This situation is random and occur for all the cam.

Any suggestion to fix the problem?

ANPR Behind Gate

Hi All


I have the DS-2CD4A25FWD-IZS set up as an ANPR, Currently, it is being tested in a Private Garage, The entrance to the Garage is a barred Gate behind which the Camera is Mounted. Due to this, I am getting multiple incorrect plates (roughly 3 incorrect then the 4th correct) whilst the gate is opening.

I have it configured as an entrance \ exit are there any suggestions how I could prevent the barred detections.

Cannot upgrade firmware on 2132 3mp dome

Hi,

I have a total of 5 cameras connected to a 7608 Nvr all purchased from yourself.
I can upgrade the firmware fine on the 2142 domes however on the 3x 2132 domes no matter what firmware I choose I always get the message unknown error.
All 3 of the domes are still on 5.2.0 build 140721 but there seems no way of upgrading their firmware.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,
I have 6 x Hikvision POE turret cameras connected to a DS-7608 NVR.

The main aim of my setup was to be able to view the camera feeds in my remote control screens (ipads) for which I use a piece of software called demopad.

The software usually allows you to view IP camera feeds by inserting a 'webview' box which is essentially a mini browser window within the remote screen.

That requires that there is no username/password requested when browsing to the individual cameras.

NVR+Hik-Connect alarm notifications no picture

Pls could someone point me in the right direction with notifications within the Hik-Connect (HC) app for NVRs?

When my 2CD-2142FWD is connected directly to HC, a motion alarm will include a picture taken at the event.

But when the same camera is connected via my NVR, the HC will only show a bell symbol on the triggering of an alarm event?

Is there anyway to have alarm events from the NVR to include a picture, as is normal when a cam is connected directly?

I have a hikvision DS-7608NI-I2 / 8P firmware V3.4.92 build 170518 which is lastest firmware. I cannot get the email notifaction to work i tried very thing from this site and other sites is anything else is can try. Or is it a firmware problem?

NVR HDMI sleep?

I have a DS-7732NI-I4-16P

which has both the HMDI and VGA connected. I have the HDMI connected to a small screen that is permanently on with live-view.

Is there any way of getting the HDMI output to sleep after a period of inactivity, and to come back on if I click the mouse or keyboard (similar to an energy saving setting on a computer?)

Hi everyone , With the above camera we are trying to get the vehicle I.D snapshots emailed , but for whatever reason it's not happening.

We get emails entitled 'Vehicle Normal' of the photo of the passing vehicle, but with the car sometimes in shot sometimes half out of shot, but what we need is the below example, (found on the anpr help page on the forum) The image with the vehicle index, date and time of capture stamped on it...

When logging into the camera all the images are there, and...

Hello, can someone help me?

My problem is, after i upgrade my DS-7716NI-K4 firmware from V.3.4.90 to V.3.492 with BatchTool with wireless connection, it say upgrade complete / finished, but after that, my NVR not working, cant ping, SADPTool cant locate my NVR, and the light on front NVR is not light up. Any solution guys?

Hello everyone.
We have the following scenario:
1 outdoor station DS-KV8102-IM and 3 indoor monitors DS-KH6310-W.
The system is connected and working. The problem is that the customer needs to be able to Unlock 2 doors, with just 1 outdoor station. This doesn't appear to be possible because the outdoor station has 2 unlock options (NC and NO) which are armed simultaneously when the unlock button is pressed. This is not good for us because we want to be able to choose which door to open, not...

error: 302 (camera is disabled or not connected)

Connecting to our DS-9664NI-I8 NVR with the iVMS-4200 software on Windows PCs, performance seems to have dipped, causing the software not to connect to the cameras occasionally, giving the error: 302 (camera is disabled or not connected).

We can still see all cameras available via the web interface so that isn't true.

I've installed the software to 3 computers which all worked fine for weeks, and now suddenly we're getting this.

Any ideas or suggestions?

It is very important to keep your camera and/or NVR firmware up-to-date.
The below link leads to a recent full disclosure of a weakness found in the firmware of HikVision devices.
The weakness was shared with HikVision back in March 2017.
HikVision released new firmware to resolve the issue.
Now, the weakness has been publicly fully disclosed:
"The vulnerability poses a severe risk. Because the vulnerability is trivial to exploit"
