Hi,

I've recently installed a CCTV system (6Mp turret type cameras with 8 channel NVR model DS-7608NI-I2 / 8P). I use Hik-connect app to live view my house surrounding when I am not at home. It (Hik-connect app) works fine with no issue when I am at home and using same wifi that I use for the cctv system even when I select High Definition mode on the app it works perfectly .
Once I go to my workplace using different wifi or using my mobile data the Hik-connect app starts struggling to...

ANPR camera integration with LED panel

Hi and thanks for letting me join.
We have currently got a site with a HikVision ANPR camera running on it and the client wants to output the capture plate details to an LED Display panel so that people know their plates are being captured. Does anyone have experience of how to do this and what hardware etc is needed. We do not use HikVision NVR as we have developed our own integration with our Cloud Services Platform

cannot access DS-2CD2342WD via SADPTool

I have two of the above cams connect to Qnap.
About a month ago I notice an orange '?' alongside one of the cameras, but thought its working leave alone.
I was getting complaints from my better half that the times where an hour out on the cameras an decided to sort it yesterday.
Sorted one fine but the other would not allow access the IP admin or SADPTool. Could not change the password or anything.
I bit the bullet and removed the camera from the PoE port thinking this would "reboot" the...

Hi pls am having a hikvision camera which records sounds. The problem is am not connected to an NVR but i can login through the web and view it live & here the sounds around me. when i record on my laptop (without NVR) and i play with vlc play i cant here the sound only video

I am trying to use the output from a Hikvision DVR to stream to the internet. I want to inject an audio stream into the HDMI output. If I try to do this after the ouput (using an audio embedder) I get a chipmunk result on the audio. I'm wondering if there is already an audio signal on the stream. Or alternatively can I inject it via the camera input ? I know I can feed audio into 4 of the channels for recording, in fact I do that on one of them, but what I need to know is if it is possible...

In the last couple of years, we've seen a long-standing issue with a very small number of Hikvision cameras which causes them to completely factory reset and lose any configurations you might have set whenever they're rebooted. This can be a physical power cycle by removing their power source briefly, or it can be a reset triggered by accessing the camera via a web browser...

Hello from the USA.
Support won’t talk to me.
I’ve a DS-2CD2042WD-1 camera with 5.4.1 build 160525 firmware.
Serial number of camera contains WR.
I’ve seen the post here suggestion to update firmware to latest version but I want to make sure that the camera I have and firmware are made for each other, as I hear that loading wrong firmware can Brick the camera.
Seeing that I am new to this camera, I’d appreciate some direction prior to my continuing.
My camera was fixed by re-routing the...

HiKconnect cameras greyed out.

I've had hikconnect working for a few months up until today where i cannot select my cameras because theyre greyed out and the recent live view says the device is offline.

ive also forgotten my password (which is very stupid) and now i dont know how i can reset it.

any help would be much appreciated

Currently, none of Hikvision's standard NVRs are enabled for cloud recording i.e. no built-in feature to save to Dropbox, Amazon or Google cloud (for recording nor backup). I believe some DVRs do offer backup to the cloud.


There are however several third-party providers that can provide some level of such service for a monthly fee:

Recently we've had a few customers who have experienced some issues with the PoE connectors on the pigtail of their Hikvision device that has caused it to stop receiving power. This can be as a result of a lot of things - faulty weatherproofing leading to corrosion within the connector, damaging it or just plain bad luck.

Hikvision themselves unfortunately do not offer replacement PoE connectors so...

I'm looking for some help on capturing an image from the playback on my HIKvision NVR.
The manual has a camera icon on the playback menu but I don't have that icon.
No problems exporting footage with clipping tool. I just can't save a still image. Help!

Hikvision DS-7104HGHI and a DS-7108HGHI connected to the same router, I am getting frequent dropouts with the DS-7108 unit and occasional dropouts with the DS-7104.
Error message 'failed to reconnect OpenSDK[3306]'
Using iVMS-4200 on pc, also occurs with iVMS-4500 on Android cellphone.

NVR continous recording with motion detection marks in playback mode?

Hello,

does anybody know how to configure the NVR (DS-7608 NI-I series) to get motion detection marks in playback view while the NVR is on continous recording mode?

On playback mode, i see a blue time mark for continous recording mode - but there are no marks for motion events (but motion detection is activated). The marks would be helpful for searching motion events...

I have upgraded firmware for my DS-2CD2T43G0-I8 camera to the latest available and I was trying out some new features. In particular, I was interested in HTTPS support and I was testing out Websocket(s). But now I can no longer connect to the camera configuration page (video streaming is working perfectly though). I have enabled Virtual Host, but once I click the Connect URL (http://192.168.1.123:65001/) I get redirected to https://192.168.254.2, this is camera's POE IP...

I’ve got iVMS-4500 4500 Lite working with my (upgraded) DS-2CD2042WD-1 camera on iPhone, but on local lan only 192.168.x.x.
Is there a tutorial on how to make this work outside of local lan?
My Sysnology NAS box has a quickconnect option where I didn’t have to make any changes (fwd’ing) in router.
Does something like this exist?

HikConnect App tells me that the device is offline

Hey guys,

I've been having an unexplained problem for a few days now. My device is displayed as offline in the HikConnect app.

The router is online, the web interface is accessible via the IP of the device and in the configurations the connection to HikConnect is shown as online.

If I want to connect the device to the app it says that the device is connected to the router but cannot connect to the internet. But the device can be reached via the external IP...

Hi Guys


I have a HikVision NVR that runs with 24tb across 4 drives, I want to backup the previous day's recordings to a NAS so that if there are any issues with the drives I have a backup. I can't seem to find instructions in the manual.


Has anyone had any experience with this?

Apple have just released an update to their Safari browser - V12.0

First reports are coming in that with this version of Safari it is no longer possible to view Live Video from your Hikvision cameras.

The latest version of the Mac plugin currently available is V3.0.6.23 (on that landing page click Downloads at the left side; this version is dated Feb 12th 2018) - this is the latest version of the plugin we can find...
