I have just purchased this doorbell and I'm having a problem with this doorbell not calling our phones (Samsung S8 on the latest OS) when the doorbell button is pressed. It rings occasionally, this tends to be when the phone is in use or has just been used or the app is open. If the phone goes into rest mode the doorbell ring notification will not work. Apple have just released an update to their Safari browser - V12.0

First reports are coming in that with this version of Safari it is no longer possible to view Live Video from your Hikvision cameras.

The latest version of the Mac plugin currently available is V3.0.6.23 (on that landing page click Downloads at the left side; this version is dated Feb 12th 2018) - this is the latest version of the plugin we can find...

Just had a chat with a customer who is concerned that his Hikvision 7608-I NVR is pinging audible alarms due to repeated illegal login attempts.
He has traced the IP address that the attempt was from to Russia, and is of course concerned.
He has his NVR set up for remote access via Hik-Connect.
His ISP is SKY in the UK.
With no choice other than to use the SKY router provided.

I've asked him to update all his Hikvision devices to the latest firmware version.

I brought the camera from other country without knowing it was in Chinese, and now I can't make it to connect to my DVR that is in English. I would like to have an English version of firmware for it. Hi there
I am new to this Forum so really hope someone can help me!
I have a Hikvision NVR and 3 CCTV cameras already installed directly into it via Ethernet cables.
I have just bought a Cube camera and am trying to install it into the remaining port. The instructional videos have told me to download the SADP which I have done.
But the SADP is only showing 1 device, the NVR, and doesn't show the "Inactive" camera. Incidently, neither does it show the 3 active cameras!
Therefore I don't know...

Hi everyone,

In the last month, I took the plunge and bought a HikVision NVR (DS-7604NI-K1/4P) for home with four G1 Series IP camera's (2x 2355, a 2155 and a 2363). Cabled it all myself and I'm really happy with the results, worth every penny.

Thanks to this forum (megathread mainly), I have managed to get the VCA settings working (line crossing and intrusion detection) working with email alerts and also the IP camera firmware updated to the latest version.

So I'm having this issue from a month back and don't really know what triggered it. I have an HIKVISION DS 7208 HGHI-SH DVR hooked on to 6 Analog cam's with 1 TB of HDD for storage. Everything is working fine except that if I make any changes now like an OSD camera name change or Number of camera view change, it changes on clicking the save button but on DVR re-boot it all revert back to the previous setting.

I have an Asus router with AI protection and Two Way Intruction prevention system to prevent DDos attacks.
I was looking through my router settings and noticed many External Attacks that were blocked.
The source IP addresses are from random places, Tunisia, Greenwich, etc. and are targeting my NVR IP and one of my cameras.

4K App viewing

Now and again when I playback using Hik-Connect my 1080p cameras can struggle. It seems I need a very good 4G signal to playback smoothly.

Do 4K cameras playback ok on 4G?

I normally set my cameras up @12fps with higher quality.

Hi all,

Apologies if this does duplicate a question elsewhere. I have searched through the forum for a similar issue but have not found it.

I have 8 HIKVision cameras wired into a Hikvision DS-7608NI recorder. The recorder is connected to . 7 were installed together (DS-2CD2322WD-I/G) and 1 anti-vandal camera added later (I don't have the model number as yet). The issue I have is with the anti-vandal camera and specifically when I try to playback via the iPhone App. The video will not load...

My camera can
- Capture files live view
- Capture files playback pics
- Download files
- Playback files
- Record files

but I have problem with where I can save them. Default in Config, Local is "C:\Users\xxxx\Web\Download files" etc.

Due to the old win7 problemsolution this saves files not to that address, but to C:\users\xxxx\Appdata\Local\Microsoft\Virtualstore\Web\. Because I have struggled ealier in other programs with files in Virtualstore I understand why the files go there...
