Cannot see IP cams online...

Hi, i'm Calvin, new here.
I have a problem with my NVR (7616ni-i2/16p): when i connect my cams (2142 and 2432) to lan ports of the NVR, i can see cams no more... just NVR can see them, but not online, not with SADP...

Otherwise if i connect cams to my switch i can see them again (NVR, Online, Sadp)....

So i have to do something to my NVR to open lan ports maybe?

Hikvision image problems

Hi all,

Sorry to ask for more help but just noticed that some of the images from newly installed cameras are struggling with fog at night. See the attached images. The fog looks like erratic rain on the cctv, and keeps triggering the video tamper alarm.

Also, the strange thing is that two of the images seem to have a dark patch on the right side ?

Is this normal ?

Hi,

I've got a DS-2CD2142FWD-I on my home network, it's the only camera I have.
  • Not using a DVR, camera isn't set to record
  • Gigabit network, using PoE
  • Using Hik-Connect for DDNS and the Hik-Connect app on the iPhone
The main stream seems to randomly switch from 2688*1520 down to 1280*720P and a decent framerate and bitrate down to 10fps, and 512Kpbs.

If I change it to what I want it seems to "save" OK and live view looks great. Then a day or two later I notice that...

v4.1.70 is out. Don't know what's new, no changelog as per usual:

EDIT: It appears to have updated the web plugin to V3.0.6.46 with matched that on the latest G1 camera firmware, so you no longer get the annoying "new plugin detected" message as you switch between the camera and the NVR web UI.

Question on changing camera resolutions on the stream

I’m just letting my mind wander.....
Presently stream is set for 1080i/29.97fps USA), and pix only camera saves to video with settings via Sysnology Surveillance Station.
Has anyone ever changed data rate to highest (3K in my Hik camera model) on the stream. What/how would SS react to that???
I don’t recall SS settings on this, though there have been many had conversion comments about the NAS in general, but not SS in particular.
Anybody try it?

Unable to playback recordings from Nvr

Hi,

Am a newbie here, having some trouble with playback from my nvr, I've listed the details below. My problem is I can playback the videos off both my cameras up until sunrise then I just keep getting an message saying 'connection unstable'

DS-7608NI-K2-8P

2 cameras DS-2CD2T55FWD-I5

Everything else seems to be up and running fine, I can access the nvr from 4g etc via the router and IP address, and both cameras on home network or off it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, I hope you can help/advise.

I purchased a number of HIK turret cameras a few weeks ago.

I’ve only just got round to starting to install them over Christmas. The first camera is now up and running but I’ve noticed that when it got dark outside the lens has fogged up...

Recently we've had a few customers who have experienced some issues with the PoE connectors on the pigtail of their Hikvision device that has caused it to stop receiving power. This can be as a result of a lot of things - faulty weatherproofing leading to corrosion within the connector, damaging it or just plain bad luck.

Hikvision themselves unfortunately do not offer replacement PoE connectors so...

There is a LOT of Rain here in the Smokey Mountains! Western NC in the States! Humidity is a big problem for outdoor lights here.
I was quite concerned about this humidity, and the cameras....
I did extra waterproofing on the first camera, and my second will receive the same treatment prior to install...
My cameras: DS-2CD2042WD-1

First I tighten the three screws holding the camera together from rear... To make sure they are snug. I then squirt some 100% silicone glue in the 3 screw...

How to remote view/interact/support NVR screen

Dear All,

Please can I ask, how do you view and interact with an onsite NVR screen?
Put differently, can one shadow the onsite screen for support purposes so I can interact or at least see exactly what is displayed on screen from VGA/HDMI out?

The particular NVR here is a Hikvision DS-7716NI-I4 / 16P.

One can login to the device with http/s.
=> This does not show me what the client actually see on the display connected to the HDMI/ VGA.

How to have Montior further away

Hi all
We have a HikVision system installed in the main part of the building, we have recently had to have a separate office put In the yard which is now the main office, my question is we need a monitor fitted in the external office which is fine but how is the best way to get it so we can control it via a mouse if needed?

We have tried the HikVision software on the PC but seems very glitchy, we wondered if we could use a USB over Ethernet adaptor for the mouse and run a Ethernet cable to...

Hi
Some years ago i buy from aliexpress portal camera DS-2CD2035-I. It was china version camera with firmware multilanguage 5.3.6
Now i try integrate it with other cameras and NVR europe. But was a probem and i try convert this camera to newer firmware.
But my mistake i write to my camera new firmware but china version IPC_G0_CN_STD_5.5.53_180716 and now all GUI is only in CHINA language. And now camera is not to use...with NVR
Now i can not do downgrade to version 5.4.x and other.... I...

NVR suddenly stopped working - PoE power overload

Hello,

I have a DS-7608NI-K2/8P that suddenly stopped working, the cameras are not powering up (as far as I can tell).

I have checked the logs and I see a lot of "PoE power overload messages" since the day it stopped.
The lights at the back, for each camera UTP port are not blinking. Tried a new camera that was never used and that one didn't work either.
Tried to change settings to it's default, reboot, shutdown, nothing solves the issue.

I have found other forums with this issue, but...

Hi,

Recently I have installed 4 cameras (DS-2CD2142FWD-IWS). Cameras are powered by PoE and they were working fine for couple of days. Yesterday one of the cameras seems ofline. Unfortunatelly I'm not there but I have a guy there that can check some stuff for me but he cannot climb the leadder to the camera itself. I can see that the port on the switch the camera is connected is not blinking (same when chaning port). Restarting camera by unlugging it from poe adapter / changing ports on...

Hello I have DS-7608NI-K2/8p this is very noisy. Is there a quieter NVR I can buy ( separately am trying to fit quieter fans ) or is there a newer one that lower noise output ?
