HikVision - Format Converter issue

Hi,

I'm wondering if you would be able to help me out.
I'm using the iVMAS-4200 as my application and download videos from the download menu.
As far as I know the files are encoded so they will be only in use with the HikVision player.

Therefor I'm using the HikVision format converter software so I would be able to send my video file to a 3rd party and to be able to play it via regular video player or via mobile phone.

My issue is that sometimes a 4 MB HikVision video file after the...

Tvi 8mp camera crashing

I’ve got a job which probably ended up with the one of the first batch of 8mp cameras and recorders. I’ve got one camera that keeps crashing and losing video. It is still transmitting video but just a black signal at the correct resolution. The low res output from the camera still works but it needs to be rebooted to clear the issue. It can occur after a day or 6 weeks but is a pain in the backside. Anyone else come across this problem.

Issue with playback failing from certain time

Strange problem I got my cameras and NVR setup a couple of days ago and everything worked fine, recording playback emails for motion detection and remote viewing via the HikConnect App.

Last night I got a couple of alerts and was able to view them on Playback in the app and also via a Browser. Then from around 7am in the morning I cannot view the recordings either in the App, via a browser or when actually downloading the file itself and playing back on the PC. It says video not supported...

Hi,

Am a newbie here, having some trouble with playback from my nvr, I've listed the details below. My problem is I can playback the videos off both my cameras up until sunrise then I just keep getting an message saying 'connection unstable'

DS-7608NI-K2-8P

2 cameras DS-2CD2T55FWD-I5

Everything else seems to be up and running fine, I can access the nvr from 4g etc via the router and IP address, and both cameras on home network or off it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi guys I need your help, I upgrade to latest firmware on my -[2.8mm] Hikvision DS-2CD2542FWD-IWS 4MP Built-in Mic Wifi indoor Dome Camera , after this NIGHT VISION is completely not working at all. Please let me know is this HARDWARE ISSUE of FIRMWARE ISSUE.

Currently I have in my Camera this Firmware IPC_R6_EN_STD_5.5.53_180730 ,
And I try every single setting and none of then bring back NIGHT VISION on this Camera.

And how I can go back to older version of firmware...

Hello, I am wanting to know how to fix my Hikvision camera. At night the footage is grainy, with dots all over the screen but during the day the image is perfectly fine. I have read other things from different websites, they have said to try changing the "gain" setting, and other video settings.

What exactly am i suppose to change, and my gain settings is faded and doesnt allow me to change it. What is the reason for this gain setting and how can i enable it. currently it is stuck at a...

Hi
I have my Hikvision NVR connected to a monitor in my cabin. I have NVMS 4500 on my phone and can access the nvr web page from any computer. I have a couple of Android TV boxes in my home also but dont have any cctv apps installed on them.

What i would like is the ability to glance at my external cameras from my home every now and then, without having to log onto my pc or go to my cabin.
Is anyone using a video intercom type screen that is always on and what are your opinions on them? or...

I use IVMS-4200 v2.8.1.4 on my laptop and it works fine except one thing. On “Remote Playback” the option just above the time line “VCA Playback”. I hoped it would be like a smart search on the NVR. So that if I selected motion detection, then selected an area with the red boxes it would return just results in that area highlighted.

However, this does not seem to work. For example, If I know that movement takes place on a part of the screen, say on a path. If I do a VCA Playback search for...

No longer connecting to HikVision/iVMS after router change

Hi all

I've got a 3 camera set up with a DS7604NI-K1 NVR. I've changed my router from an Asus to a Ubiquiti and connected everything back up.

No longer able to connect to my camera system on iVMS or the web module.

iVMS is showing the device as active when I search for it but says it already exists when I try to add it. However in the camera window, the cameras have red "stop" signs next to them and won't display the feed.

Any suggestions as to how I need to change my configuration to...

Hikvision have released a new V5.5.8 firmware version today for their popular G1 Series / EasyIP 3.0 cameras.

This latest firmware version can be downloaded from their European portal here:

Hikvision have just made available new firmware for their -K series NVRs (V3.4.10) which can be downloaded here:

NB
If you have recently purchased a 7604-K NVR with a (B) suffix, then this uses different firmware which we will cover in a separate Post.

As yet, we have not spotted any Release Notes for this update.

Hi Community!

I have a difficult problem with wireless signal stability. I use two CPE220 in simple Acces Point with Client mode to transmit signal from two IP cameras to NVR.
The connection between IP cameras and NVR absolutely unstable. Each camera loses connection simultaneously and unpredictable. Here I drow the network diagram and there are images from NVR playback log. What I already tried - all possible variations to TURN ON/OFF WMM, QoS, Short GI, changed distance 0-1 km, reset...

Is it possible to receive the calls of a DS-KV8102-IM in iVMS4200

Hello everybody,

I wondered if it was possible to install one of the simplest model (the DS-KV8102-IM ) as a doorbell and receive the calls on my laptop (with iVMS4200 or other soft?) and/or on my smartphone. In other words is it possible to avoid buying the indoor station? Somebody have ever tried ?

I’ve got iVMS-4500 4500 Lite working with my (upgraded) DS-2CD2042WD-1 camera on iPhone, but on local lan only 192.168.x.x.
Is there a tutorial on how to make this work outside of local lan?
My Sysnology NAS box has a quickconnect option where I didn’t have to make any changes (fwd’ing) in router.
Does something like this exist?

NVR104 A/P not picking up cameras when plugged into any of the POE ports on NVR

Hi all,

I'm new here. I recently bought the HikVision 4-port POE NVR, along with an IPC-B120 and an IPC-D120. I have set both cameras up and have been able to see the live view from the Hik-Connect app when they are plugged directly into my router or switch (using the separate power supply), but whenever I plug them into the NVR, I notice the camera switches on (as I can see the IR light up), but the NVR just does not seem to find the camera :(

Hi All,

Hopefully someone is able to aid me with a probklem I've come up against!

I have a number of Hikvision DS-2CD4A26FWD-IZS/P cameras that I currently use to pick up number plates for my car park, however we can only currently record images of the vehicles with the vehicle information below.

Is there a way to have a CSV file of this information, rather than the images at all? Obviously the plate, time and date is all I really need, if possible.

Hi everyone,

In the last month, I took the plunge and bought a HikVision NVR (DS-7604NI-K1/4P) for home with four G1 Series IP camera's (2x 2355, a 2155 and a 2363). Cabled it all myself and I'm really happy with the results, worth every penny.

Thanks to this forum (megathread mainly), I have managed to get the VCA settings working (line crossing and intrusion detection) working with email alerts and also the IP camera firmware updated to the latest version.

Hi.
I have an unusual issue. I closely monitor 4 CCTV systems that are from different locations. Two of the systems are 4Ch, and 2 are 8Ch.
Periodically, and sometimes for no reason whatsoever, the 8Ch NVR's will become inaccessible via a web browser giving the "this page can't be displayed" message, you can still access them perfectly via IVMS, both the mobile and PC version.

This sometimes seems to happen if say IE has locked up and I've had to end task it, but it seems specific to the...

Support won’t talk to me.
I’ve a DS-2CD2042WD-1 camera with 5.4.1 build 160525 firmware.
Serial number of camera contains WR.
I’ve seen the post here suggestion to update firmware to latest version but I want to make sure that the camera I have and firmware are made for each other, as I hear that loading wrong firmware can Brick the camera.
