Firmware for HiWatch NVR-104-A / 4P?

Hello,

New to these forums. I hope someone might help with the following query?

I have just set-up a HiWatch NVR-104-A / 4P from amazon.co.uk. It works fine.

It's Firmware Version is V3.4.91 build 170630. My query is: is that the latest firmware for this NVR?

I've looked on the various HikVision sites for firmware for this model of NVR and there seems to be none.

Am I being too optimistic in hoping for firmware repositories for this low-end consumer NVR?

Changing Camera Resolution Query

Hi All,

I have a two Hikvision 4K turrent cameras which I need to reduce the resolution from 4K to 1080p (for a short period).
When I alter the 2.8mm camera it updates as expected but when I alter the 4.0mm camera it appears to change the focal length. I'm not sure to what (maybe 6.0mm) but it's effectively zoomed in so I loose some important visibility (a door in this case).
I have compared the settings between both cameras and they are identical so was hoping for some assistance and...

Hoping someone can help as i'm quickly running out of ideas. Have 2 x Hiwatch 2MP POE cameras on a Hikvision NVR. Everything works fine - playback on the box is continuous, cameras show fine.

Problem - on the Hik Connect app i get chunks of yellow. Sometimes you can playback footage before and after these chunks (presume motion) and sometimes you can't. The NVR shows blue continuous playback right to a minute or so to live time. I have turned off all motion, deleted the NVR from the app...

Hikvision have just released new firmware for their -K (B) NVRs V3.4.100:
HIKVISION UK PORTAL

NB
This firmware is only for recent 7604 -K NVRs with a (B) suffix in their part code.

Sorry, no Release Notes nor further information yet.

Hi,

I've recently installed a CCTV system (6Mp turret type cameras with 8 channel NVR model DS-7608NI-I2 / 8P). I use Hik-connect app to live view my house surrounding when I am not at home. It (Hik-connect app) works fine with no issue when I am at home and using same wifi that I use for the cctv system even when I select High Definition mode on the app it works perfectly .
Once I go to my workplace using different wifi or using my mobile data the Hik-connect app starts struggling to...

I'm making this plea again, because every day we continue to get calls and enquiries about "odd" issues, features "not working", cameras "gone faulty", cameras that have "gone offline", no longer being able to see video in my App, on my Mac, in IVMS-4200, in my browser, etc.
95% of those callers own HikVision systems.
50% of those callers are what you might term disbelieving when told they need to update their firmware.
Especially if it's a young female member of my team that gives...

Unable to playback recordings from Nvr

Hi,

Am a newbie here, having some trouble with playback from my nvr, I've listed the details below. My problem is I can playback the videos off both my cameras up until sunrise then I just keep getting an message saying 'connection unstable'

DS-7608NI-K2-8P

2 cameras DS-2CD2T55FWD-I5

Everything else seems to be up and running fine, I can access the nvr from 4g etc via the router and IP address, and both cameras on home network or off it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

I've got a DS-2CD2142FWD-I on my home network, it's the only camera I have.
  • Not using a DVR, camera isn't set to record
  • Gigabit network, using PoE
  • Using Hik-Connect for DDNS and the Hik-Connect app on the iPhone
The main stream seems to randomly switch from 2688*1520 down to 1280*720P and a decent framerate and bitrate down to 10fps, and 512Kpbs.

If I change it to what I want it seems to "save" OK and live view looks great. Then a day or two later I notice that...

Hi Everyone,
I finally made the first step into cctv.
So far I’ve purchased the DS-7608NI-I2-8P (from here), installed a WP purple 4TB HD and hooked up 2 x DS-2CD2385FWD-I turret cams.
It’s currently sat below my tv connected by hdmi with the cameras positioned either side just so I can get the images on the screen.
I’ve powered up set the password and inialised the HD and got both cams working on the viewer.

What I want to do know is learn how I set it up properly and get it working to my...

Hi All,

Hoping someone can help me - I recently installed a DS-7604NI-K1 / 4P(B) NVR with 4 x DS-2CD2385FWD-I cameras but noticed my NVR keeps suddenly rebooting at random times of the day.
I checked the NVR logs and see that the alert named 'Local: Abnormal Shutdown' is displayed in the logs when it happens (usually 2-5 times a day).

NVR Firmware: V3.4.100 build 180310
Camera Firmware: V5.5.53 build 180622

Anyone else come across...

I bought this week a dvr HWD 5104 and a camera HWT-T140-M, all of hikvision Hiwatch Series Turbo HD.
I thought it would have been the choice at a price / quality level, since it was a 4 mp good quality small camera.
However I have a problem that I can not solve, and the store that sold me does not know how to solve.

Hi all,

Apologies if this does duplicate a question elsewhere. I have searched through the forum for a similar issue but have not found it.

I have 8 HIKVision cameras wired into a Hikvision DS-7608NI recorder. The recorder is connected to . 7 were installed together (DS-2CD2322WD-I/G) and 1 anti-vandal camera added later (I don't have the model number as yet). The issue I have is with the anti-vandal camera and specifically when I try to playback via the iPhone App. The video will not load...

Hi Everyone,
I’m trying to decide on the best position of my NVR.
I planned on using a cupboard in the middle of the house as it has power and the fibre router in there.
Unfortunately the NVR is too big to have it sat in its normal config flat on its feet.
My question is, has anyone ever positioned the NVR against a wall vertically?
If so would it be better front facing up or rear facing up to give the cooling fans the best position to do their jobs.
Can anyone foresee any problems?

Hey Guys,
I'm running a few Hikvision DS-2CD2355FWD-I (Firmware V5.5.61 build 180718) cameras and wanting to connect to the MJPEG stream using the http preview url. I've verified the URL is correct but when i use the integrated base64 auth it still prompts for a username and password
I've seen suggestions that this feature is broken in later versions of the firmware.
Any suggestions?

Benefits of upgrading to V4 firmware

I have just upgraded the firmware on all my cameras to V5.5.82 build 181211 and I have been considering upgrading my NVR (DS-7616NI-I2 / 16P) firmware from V3.4.96 build 170921 to V4.1.63 build190111 Other than the GUI changes are there any improvements on picture quality or compression? Are there any other reasons why changing to Version 4 would be of benefit?

I have been getting a lot of Illegal login attempts recently which is one reason why I want to update the firmware in case there...
