Is Hikvision Turbo HD 1.0 Hybrid DVR ONVIF compatible?

Just wondering if we should be able to use 3rd-party cameras with our Hybrid DVR.

It supports IP cameras, but the list of supported cameras in the manual is quite small and I can't find most of them for sale.

Thanks

Hi,

Does anyone have a Hikvision DS-71xx DS-72xx or DS-73xx hybrid DVR that you use with both analog and IP cameras?

We're trying to adopt IP cameras with our DS-7332HGHI - got our first one up and running, seems to be able to view from the DVR and record just like the analog cameras.

However, when trying to view the IP camera from the IVMS-4500 app, it doesn't show up with all the analog cameras - it's like it's not even there.

Does anyone have any idea why? I'm trying to figure out...

Simultaneous record to internal and networked drives

I have a Hikvision DS-7608NI-K2/8P with 1 x 2TB drive fitted. Is there a means of recording to the internal drive and simultaneously to an external one on the same network? I am trying to protect against a situation in which an intruder simply stole the NVR. My property is large and rambling with buried cat cables and various hubs. It would be difficult for any intruder to track down the location of another attached network device even if they thought to search for one - and he/she would...

Hi, i am having some difficulty in finding the right balance with my IP camera's, i was hoping someone could help.

I have 3x DS-2CD2363GO-1/G - All firmware has been updated as of yesterday including the NVR.

Day time viewing is spot on, however night viewing is the complete opposite. Moving cars are a blur. People are just ghosts/blur, unable to see their face or color of clothing etc, i feel the camera's at night are useless. Compared to videos i have seen on youtube for the same...

Hikvision Intrusion Detection 'The Camera does not support this function'

I have a DS-7208HUHI-K1 with a DS-2CE56H1T-ITME Camera.

Using iVMS-4200 to configure 'Smart Event' \ 'Intrusion Detection'. However, when checking the box to enable the setting and clicking 'Save', I get a pop up error message 'The camera does not support the funtion'.

Oddly enough, I can use iVMS to enable this feature on my other cameras which includes an older Qvis dome camera.

Any suggestions as to what I may have missed?

Thanks

HIK Connect App on iPhone - Issue with Playback

Hi all,

Apologies if this does duplicate a question elsewhere. I have searched through the forum for a similar issue but have not found it.

I have 8 HIKVision cameras wired into a Hikvision DS-7608NI recorder. The recorder is connected to . 7 were installed together (DS-2CD2322WD-I/G) and 1 anti-vandal camera added later (I don't have the model number as yet). The issue I have is with the anti-vandal camera and specifically when I try to playback via the iPhone App. The video will not load...

Trying to setup motion detection

Basically I want to record continuously between 08:00 and 18:00 and then ONLY on motion detection at all other times.
I thought this would be relatively easy to set up. I went into the NVR and went onto the "schedule settings" tab, ticked "enable record schedule", clicked edit, clicked custom and setup my schedule for "motion detection" between 00:00 and 08:00, continuous between 08:00 and 18:00 and motion detection again between 18:00 and 00:00. However when I look in my playback view...

I've had this one a few times now, so just a quick post to help you find the hidden pull-out.

At the right hand side of the Live view screen you will see a small arrow:

Click on that and a fly-out will appear from the right revealing all of your zoom, focus, and preset controls:

Hi,

We have a DS9632NII8 NVR with some DS2CD2383G0I cameras attached

I seem to be unable to change the image settings (resolution framerate etc) from the iVMS application for one of these cameras. Other setting pages work fine and other cameras work fine.

I have performed a factory reset on the camera but still no joy

The error I am getting from iVMS is: SaveVideo ParametersFailed.Error Code HCNetSDK.dll[11].(Data error. The data sent to or received from the device is incorrect)

HikVision DS2CD2145FWD-IS failing to Connect to LAN

Hi all,

I've recently bought a Hikvision DS2CD2145FWD-IS dome camera (from Avico.pro) and have been trying to get it setup and connected to our LAN. However, I'm having trouble doing so, any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

I've followed the initial steps, have it connected to a 12V/1A transformer, and plugged in to the router via a network cable. The instructions state that I simply have to connect the camera to a computer and go to 192.168.1.64. However, I get no response...

Hello.
Has anyone got any user feedback for the new range of Hikvision 4MP cameras with Darkfighter technology?
I ask because several years ago I sold all my 4MP EXIR bullets because of the poor night time performance and exchanged them for the 5MP version.

Today I'm pricing up a order and I see that the 5MP range is very limited and seems to have been superseded by the 4MP? have they addressed the noise issue by using the DF Technology and ditched the 5MP models...

Hikvision camera losing its main stream settings (after access via the Hik-Connect mobile App)

Hi,

I've got a DS-2CD2142FWD-I on my home network, it's the only camera I have.
  • Not using a DVR, camera isn't set to record
  • Gigabit network, using PoE
  • Using Hik-Connect for DDNS and the Hik-Connect app on the iPhone
The main stream seems to randomly switch from 2688*1520 down to 1280*720P and a decent framerate and bitrate down to 10fps, and 512Kpbs.

If I change it to what I want it seems to "save" OK and live view looks great. Then a day or two later I notice that...

HIK Connect Not Working

HI all,

I have searched for this over the last 24 hours but to no avail.

My Hik Connect stopped working yesterday. It seems that it wasn't using a correct IP but had been working for some time even though the IP was incorrect?! I decided to delete the device on hik connect but now it won't let me add it back in!! It constantly says "Adding failed". Correct Serial, correct verification code?! Anyone having similar or any experiences with this?

UPDATE:

*Not sure what happened there but...

What's the difference between a DVR+Camera and an NVR+IP Camera setup when my purpose is for online viewing through the Hik-Connect app?

I planned on getting an NVR+IP Camera setup for the purpose of viewing my store online through the Hik-Connect app. But while I was looking for NVRs online, I happened to see a Hikvision DVR that claimed the live feed could be accessed through the Hik-Connect app.

So now I'm a bit confused, what exactly is the difference between an NVR and DVR setup if my purpose is to check the live feed from multiple cameras connected to them? Apart from the fact that the ip camera could be connected...

Hi all, my first post so her goes..
I have a Hikvision DS-7600 NVR with two Hikvision DS-2CD2335FWD-1 cameras. The system is about 6 months old and worked great using my 8 year old Samsung LED TV.
I have now replaced the old TV for a new LG 49SK8100PLA HDR Smart 4K Super UHD
I set system up on the new TV, plugged in the TV and NVR, started the TV and then booted the NVR. Great it all worked just like the old Samsung TV. Then I started to get a message on the TV saying ‘Attention. The...

Face Detection missing

Just a quick post because this one caught me out earlier today (and I should have thought of this straight away!).

A customer complained that he had two EasyIP 3.0 cameras; same model; same network; both wired; both purchased from us - but one had the Smart detection features (in particular he wanted to use face detection), but the other did not.

He could see that even their serial numbers were close.

I had him update to the latest firmware, but it wasn't that.

Quite simply, he had...

Hello All.

I've got a DS-2CD4A25FWD-IZS Camera that someone has put the newest firmware on.

I'm trying to put the ANPR firmware on but it wont accept it. I think this is because the ANPR is older then current firmware so it wont let me downgrade.

I've tried with TFTP but i can't find my camera when doing that.

Any help please?

Kind Regards

Another quick post, prompted by a report I read earlier today.

Since the introduction of the h.265+ CODEC we have recommended that where it is available (on all of their recent cameras and NVRs) customers set their systems up to use it. There seems to be no downside to using it.

However, one fine point that I had not fully appreciated and shared before, but was evident from the tests in this new report - increasing frame rates (fps) has a much lesser impact upon bandwidth and storage...
