Playback on NVR using RTSP

Hi,
Is there any way to watch recordings using rtsp requests froma Hikvision NVR? I found rtsp requests for live view and snapshots, but cant find anything about recordings.

Camera Stuck in reboot after attempted reset

Hello, please can someone help me out on this problem? I tried resetting a HikVision Network Cube camera, but instead the camera get stuck at rebooting and now I can not access it via the SADP tool. Please anyone with a solution?

simple Hik-Connect question

I have just set up one camera which is connected to my router and pleasantly surprised at how quick and easy the iPhone app was to connect and start streaming.

However I will primarily be using my laptop to view live footage.

Its occurred to me that as long as the camera is connected to my router and I have 'Enable Hik-Connect' enabled then the camera will constantly be using my bandwidth and sending data 24/7. Is this true?

If so, is it wise to only Enable Hik-Connect when essentially...

hikvision IR at night

hi, just after abit of information really, ive set up my -
  1. HIKVISION DS-2CD2355FWD-I | 4MM
  2. S-2CD2T55FWD-I5/B | 4MM
all work perfect during the day and even at night but ive noticed i cant see any licence plates as it seems over exposed is there something im missing in the camera setting, ive tried speeding up the shutter speeds but seems to wash out the image completely.

any advise will be greatly appreciated...

Trigger alarm or email for no recording

Just to check is there any way to trigger an email or alarm when my camera is not recording in ivms. As I set all my nvr to record continuously.

I have the size of about 388 camera across 22nvr
It's hard for me to keep track of all camera

If there is a way appreciated your guy help

The thread title is what you will see at Hikvision's Hik-Connect portal if it is unable to find your Hikvision device online.

Briefly, when you enable Platform Access on a Hikvision device (typically an NVR, but you can just add a camera) then the device 'calls home' to the Hik-Connect portal and identifies itself, and provides information that the portal needs to know to route you to the device when you attempt to access it from the Hik-Connect App on your phone or tablet.

Hello,

I currently run 3 Arlo cameras around the outside of my house but want to up grade to something a little more capable. I bought a reolink RLC-420 which is just terrible in terms of motion detection. you get what you pay for! Should have just stumped up the cash for something good in the first place, but its going back and after a lot more reading I'm almost settled on the Hikvision DS-2CD2345FWD-I 4MP turret camera, but i wondered if anyone could help me with a couple of questions...

Hikvision NVR and separate PoE Switch

On Hikvision NVRs (such as DS-7608NI-K2-8P) , do all the cameras have to connect directly to the PoE ports on the NVR, or can the cameras be connected to a PoE switch elsewhere and then just a single Ethernet cable connect the NVR to the switch, and PoE disabled on the NVR?

I'm planning a system at the moment, and the choice of site for the NVR to be secure and to mask the noise of the fan (which I read is quite loud), it won't be possible to run all the cables from each camera to the...

Apple have just released an update to their Safari browser - V12.0

First reports are coming in that with this version of Safari it is no longer possible to view Live Video from your Hikvision cameras.

The latest version of the Mac plugin currently available is V3.0.6.23 (on that landing page click Downloads at the left side; this version is dated Feb 12th 2018) - this is the latest version of the plugin we can find...

Unable to playback recordings from Nvr

Hi,

Am a newbie here, having some trouble with playback from my nvr, I've listed the details below. My problem is I can playback the videos off both my cameras up until sunrise then I just keep getting an message saying 'connection unstable'

DS-7608NI-K2-8P

2 cameras DS-2CD2T55FWD-I5

Everything else seems to be up and running fine, I can access the nvr from 4g etc via the router and IP address, and both cameras on home network or off it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is port 8000 required for email notifications?

I've had my 7608 setup and running fine for about two weeks. Email notifications were working just fine, and I opened the correct ports on my router. Due to several illegal login attempts, I closed all ports except the server port on 8000. Email worked fine. Then with more illegal login attempts, I changed the server port under network settings to port 8885, and made the corresponding change in port forwarding in my router. I no longer get any email notifications, and the test button in the...

Strange max bit rate issue

I've got four 2355's all on the latest firmware running 265+. When looking under "configuration" and "video/audio" from a web interface, two of the cams have a max bit rate automatically set at 4096, the other two cams have the max bit rate set at 8192. I can't change the settings as they are grayed out. I've triple checked that ALL other settings among the four cameras are identical. What would cause this? I've searched this forum and Googled but have not seen this issue.

New router

iVMS 4200

Had a new router last week, camera working fine on the tv and laptops but can't seem to get it working on my mobile, I've added new router network name in WiFi settings and put in the password, and it generates a qr code?

App says I'm not logged in but will let me open the app and then asks if I want to confirm logout?? tried to reset password, verification sending code error comes up. tried registering phone again nothing!!

Also I've no idea where to generate a qr code on...

Hi all,

After realising that setting up a NVR system would be so much easier for me vs DVR. i have chosen to go down this route. I require potentially 3 bullet cams (or 4 ) and maybe a dome (but i am not too sure how i can install this on the Porch?

So few questions for you...

1) Which NVR would you recommend?
2) What kind of specs should i be looking at when looking at IPTV Cameras
3) If i do the following set up

IP cam Ethernet to ---- PoE Hub -------- Ethernet cable to NVR

Hikvision "Device is Offline"

Morning all!

I am using Hikvision DVR with 8 Dome cameras, i can view all the cameras on the desktop client of IVMS but on my phone it states "Device is Offline" any ideas how i can fix?

The IP addresses match on both bits of software.

I have tried on both Android and IOS.

My DVR model is DS-7208HWHI-K1
