Hi,

A little background - we set up a 16 camera DS-7616NI-I2 a little while ago (from Use-ip).

After some issues with i-catcher and a seeming lack of development, a snap decision was made to replace this application with an NVR and a DS7604NI-E1 was available (from my home until a replacement arrives from Use-IP) to add to a different business, sharing the same web connection.

The 7604 has been working perfectly on hik-connect for over a year, so I can't see that being an issue, the...

Good pm, I currently have these 3 Hikvision cameras:
1. DS-2CD2120F-IS
2. DS-2CD2143G0-IS
3. DS-2CD2142FWD-IS
And the memory card storage isn't really working for me as I had to heavily reduce my resolution just to fit 2 weeks of footage. Plus my PoE switch recently broke down so I don't have anything to power my cameras. So I just decided to hit two birds with one stone and get an NVR.

Currently these are the available Hikvision NVRs in my area:
1. DS-7604NI-E1/4P ($105)

Device offline - HIK CONNECT

Hello,
Strange problem I'm facing.

Got a 60 camera setup on a large site. Been working fine for months

Today, they called and said the app is showing device offline.

I have checked and it is indeed showing DEVICE OFFLINE on all cameras.
However, If I click PLAYBACK, it shows recordings ... right up to the 3 minutes before the current time.
Live view on the NVR is fine,
Checked platform access and that says ONLINE ...

So I'm really confused

Everything is how it should be , it's just...

Hi. I have a site where the NVR has been taken by the previous occupant. The cameras are all still in place. If I connect all the cameras to a PoE switch and use a DHCP server, nothing is found. I have tried a few subnets without DHCP, such as 192.168.0.x, 192.168.1.x etc, but searching each subnet returns nothing. This is with both the SDAP tool and a generic IP device search.

I have no idea what the IP addresses would have been, nor the passwords. As there are a dozen cameras on...

Just a quick post because this one caught me out earlier today (and I should have thought of this straight away!).

A customer complained that he had two EasyIP 3.0 cameras; same model; same network; both wired; both purchased from us - but one had the Smart detection features (in particular he wanted to use face detection), but the other did not.

He could see that even their serial numbers were close.

I had him update to the latest firmware, but it wasn't that.

Hi,

My current NVR isn't working anymore and I want to buy a new one, the Hikvision DS-7608NI-K1-8P(B).
I still have the POE cameras (ONVIF 2,41 H265 , made in China), but I would like to know if I could use them with this Hikvision NVR.

Interrupting a PTZ preset

Hi guys

I have a few presets that are setup on a schedule to run 24/7. Essentially, point left, point right, point down, return to sequence start. on about a 15 second delay for each stage.

When I take manual control of the PTZ controls, I get very little time with the controls before the camera reverts to patrolling - after scrolling around and viewing what I'm viewing, maybe 2-5 seconds at best.

Is there a setting somewhere I can change that allows PTZ override for x number of seconds...

Hi

I have a DS-7608NI-I2, with 8 cameras. I'm trying to cut down on the bandwidth used for the older cameras (generic onvif 2mp cameras, h264, from zxtech or something about 4 years ago) as I slowly replace with hikvision cameras and h265+ etc.

The issue I have is that on the hikvision cameras, I can enable motion detection (and in turn, disable 24/7 recording) no problem. On the older cameras, when I click the tickbox for "enable motion detection" for that camera, I get an error in the...

Hik-Connect slow/unusable over local wifi, fine over 3G/4G

For the past few weeks i've been having trouble access live feeds and notification recordings over local home wifi using Android Hik-Connect. Currently, clicking play on notifications returns error code: 380209. Live feeds seem to be temperamental.

Everything else on my home wifi network runs fine, all devices are assigned their own static IP Address

If I switch off wifi on my phone it all runs fine over mobile data.

Has anyone come across this issue before?

Hi, I posted this onto another thread but think maybe that wasn't correct so i have resubmitted it separately. If that is wrong please remove if necessary.

I have a DS-7604NI-K1/4P NVR and a DS-2CD2345FWD cam. I do not get notification or any acknowledgement for face detection and VCA says no device available. I get motion detection ok.

Hi. up until recently I have enjoyed access to my cameras through the Hik Connect App whilst away from home,but now when I am away from home all the cameras show as offline.I have checked the upload speed on my home internet and this is fine.I have the App on both my iPhone and IPad but cannot access on either.Any help would be appreciated

Camera dropping randomly from NVR (2163-G0)

2163-G0 Purchased/Installed in March. This replaced a 2532 that had been in place for 3+years. Same cable/run from NVR. I'll admit its a long run tho.
From the start of May the new 2163 has had an increasing number of 'IP Camera Disconnects" which is massively frustrating and losing recording/view.
I have swapped NVR ports + tested cable (bear in mind its worked for >4yrs) + put silica gel in connector box at rear of camera to avoid condensation + re-made end off + ensure latest firmware...

Hi,

Please can someone in the know offer a Newbie some assistance, I've been onto HikVision and downloaded the latest K71 firmware for my device and proceeded to upgrade the firmware, this appeared to go okay and offered to reboot which was duly completed and from there I don't get any screen output at all. I do see the red HikVision splash screen upon boot but nothing else.

I've setup my computers IP to 192.0.0.128 and I can ping the 7208 on 192.0.0.64 but cant login in any way, I've...

Like many other threads on here, I found my new DS-7608NI-K2-8P unbearably loud. It has a channel well technologies PSU (KSA-180S2) with a 12v 5A rail, a 52v 2.5A rail and a really noisy 40mm fan, and then a second not-quite-as-noisy 40mm fan on the case.

Everyone has a different sensitivity to this sort of a noise so I've seen some people say it's fine, and that's great for them. But mine was shut in a thick walled cupboard with a heavy tight-fitting door, and it would still be loud...
