Hi all,
I own a DS-2CD2785FWD-IZS camera and four DS-2CD2185FWD-I cameras. All of them have the latest firmware installed. I inserted a 64GB SD card in all of them (same brand, type, size etc.).

The DS-2CD2785FWD-IZS is able to record 3weeks of video, while the four DS-2CD2185FWD-I can record no more than a couple of days (before overriding).

The configuration is exactly the same for both type of camera. I selected the same resolution (3840x2160), same Bitrate (costant), same codec...

Hi All
I currently have 2 ip cameras, both connected to a powerline adapter in my garage. I'm looking to upgrade, as my cameras are not the best quality and more importantly I am only able to record stills to my NAS.

So thinking of
Hikvision DS-7604NI-K1-4P with WD Purple 1TB HDD

Hikvision DS-2CD2345FWD-I/G 4mm 4MP Grey Turret Network Camera (will aim to add more later on)

I was thinking of putting the nvr in the garage, as that's where my new camera(s) would be mounted from for the...

authentication

My Hikvision records to the NVR for about three or four days, and then the NVR stops recording and asks for authentication. I then re-enter the camera's password, the NVR recognises it, and it starts recording. Does anyone know if this is a problem with the camera or the NVR? Any help would be very much appreciated.

I want to be able to turn off the IR on this camera but still have the camera go to mono at night. Currently it remains full colour 24 hours per day with no IR. Here is a video I found on YouTube that explains exactly what I want to achieve.

If you go to 6:30 you will see the menu that I’d like to get to. When I try to go there I can only see Brightness Contrast Saturation Hue. If you stop the video at '7:04 exactly' you will see the sub menu...

Standalone PTZ

Hi.

I want to use a Hikvision IP PTZ camera as a standalone device with not NVR. I can connect this to the local LAN and access the built in web view, which is all that will be needed. I would like to add PTZ joystick control, and while I could run a serial cable to the camera location, I wondered if there was a network version that can control the PTZ of the camera without an NVR?

The site already has CCTV and an NVR, this is just a completely standalone live view only.

This question comes up every so often and so we thought we would share the latest information we have on this topic.

Traditionally you would connect a joystick/keyboard directly to an NVR to allow you to control multiple cameras and have hotkeys to jump between different live views, but some customers do only have one PTZ and for a long time most joysticks were USB-based so you couldn't easily connect them to a single camera. Now Hikvision has 2 Joystick/Keyboard models that have RJ45...

Device offline after upgraded router.

Hey guys,
From some odd reason, my status on my receiver is showing offline. I recently upgraded my internet router and now my Hik-Connect app is not finding my server because its showing offline in the status section in network. I have a Ethernet cable connected directly to the router so there shouldn't be an issue. What do you think is the issue?

Morning all!

I am using Hikvision DVR with 8 Dome cameras, i can view all the cameras on the desktop client of IVMS but on my phone it states "Device is Offline" any ideas how i can fix?

The IP addresses match on both bits of software.

I have tried on both Android and IOS.

My DVR model is DS-7208HWHI-K1

NVR Camera Port to Switch.

Hi All,

Just wondering if I can plug a camera port on my NVR into a switch & get to a remote camera from there.
Figured it would need a vLAN etc.

IE

NVR Port --> Untagged port vLAN 15 on 1st switch --> Tagged port on same switch (vLAN 15) --> Tagged port on 2nd switch (vLAN15)
Untagged (vLAN 15) PoE port on 2nd Switch --> Camera.

Figure if it worked I could plug multiple camera ports into Switch 1 as long as each used a different vLAN.

hi, i bought anpr camera with following model: DS-2CD4A26FWD-LZS/P (8-32mm)
before ordering i check its datasheet clearly it said that was support Middle East Country like kuwait,iran,pakistan,.....

but when i install it there is no option in region menu for these countries (specially iran)!!!
it detect plate with incorrect number and it shows Latin number instead of Arabic what should i do?
can some one guide me,

Hello

I have a Hikvision DS-2DE3304W-DE V5.6.0 build 190128 camera and after uploading the latest software, I noticed that the camera creates datadir 0 -4 folders on a network drive (NAS). Recordings only appear in the folder datadir0, then overwrite in the same folder again. Other datadir1,2,3 folders are still empty. On another camera with an older version of the software, this problem does not occur.
I would love to return to the previous version of the software, but the camera does not...

When I start my program up all I’m getting is a white circle off dots going round and round as if it’s trying to load but it just stays like that. It was working perfectly well.

Hikconnect app connection problems

Hey guys!

Recently I've been tasked with getting our companies CCTV up on TV screens in the office, they're spread of many sites and we currently view them through the hikconnect app on our phones. So I thought rather than getting 3 laptops/desktops and getting the desktop client, I could put an Amazon firestick into each TV and download the apk (app files) for the Hikconnect app on them. All good so far! Now when I log into our hikconnect account, all works fine, I start the live stream...

Face Recognition For some reason has never worked, it does not show up on my NVR At all not even in the SD card in the camera it self all boxs are correct just won't show my face in the system at all-_-

Yahoo Mail Outage

I believe that there is currently a Yahoo Mail outage

I use Yahoo for the majority of my cameras for a email alert as to smart event.

I have one camera on Yandex email, which is working fine, but I am not getting any alerts on the Yahoo email ones.

I wondered what email server platforms other forum members are using for smart event alerts as I plan to move some cameras away from Yahoo in case of any future email outages.

Hikvision 9632 i8 problem with RAID and with permissions

Hello guys,
I have NVR Hikvision 9632 i8 that is updated to the last firmware and i cannot setup RAID array that i had before. When i enable raid on system the NVR is showing me a message about must have 3762 GB capacity but I have 3 HDD with 3 TB on each of them. Total capacity of RAID 5 should be around 5 TB so thats more than it needs. Even the Quick setup doesnt work and saying the same type of message.

And second problem is about user permissions. I wont allow other users to see all...
