Can anyone clarify something for me? I have set up an intrusion area and understand most of the parameter adjustments - bar one. The percentage element appears to have a confusing description and reads:
‘Percentage defines the ratio of the in-region part of the object which can trigger the alarm. For example, when you set the percentage as 50%, half of the object entering the region will trigger the alarm.’

The manual is clear that the NVR should be cleanly shut down before switching off, but there's no way I can see to do this without an attached monitor - which I don't have. All of the remote access methods have no option for shutdown. I did find an option to switch on ssh access, which would be perfect - but although this seems to start an ssh server, I've not managed to actually log in this way - always getting Permission denied. Does anyone know how to make ssh work properly, or any way to...

Hi, I am able to select the sub-stream when directly access the camera web GUI. On the NVR Where I want to select the stream on live view it says "Switching the stream failed". The NVR has the latest firmware v3.4.91. Also with IVMS I can't switch to the sub-stream since the option is in GREY. Anyone have an Idea to solve this issue ? Regards

I have two DS-2CD2342WD-I installed and one has become pixelated.
Have checked the setting and they are identical.

Is there any way to update the camera firmware (or even check if it is current) when using it with an embedded/plug&play NVR? The DS-7604NI-K1-4P doesn't appear to support the virtual host functionality, and the cameras are in a separate private subnet, so not accessible from the rest of the network. I can't find any way to update the camera firmware through the web or iVMS interfaces.

Hello,

i have some problems with my new DS-7608 NI-I2/8P:

The NVR reboots randomly and is not able to record continous my 4 connected cams. Another point is, that sometimes it takes very long to see the login screen if i try to connect inside my LAN. The time to see the Screen varies from 1s to 30s.

It seems for me the NVR is "busy" with something...does anyone have an idea?

Hi guys,

Newbie here. Looking at buying 14 x Hikvision 4k cameras to replace our existing setup. It will be a mixture of internal and external cameras. Also intend to purchase a Hikvision DS-7716NI-I4 NVR for recording and live viewing.

The building we are putting these in is quite large. Our existing cameras use co-ax, which at the time of installation had to be cabled individually from each camera right back to the DVR unit which sits at one end of the building.

We have a CAT6 computer...

Hi. I have multiple Hikvision cameras running through a Hikvision DS-7608NI-E2/8P NVR. I've got the NVR configured to send me an email when it detects motion. The problem is that the attached images are such low resolution (240x320 pixels) that they are of practically no use

Does anyone know how I can increase the resolution of the captured images?

I am using firmware V3.4.90 build 161008 on the NVR. Any advice appreciated!

Hi I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on an issue I am having with the above NVR. I have managed to receive alert and event notifications over email such as motion detect etc. The problem I am having is I am not getting screenshots or attachments of the event. Under configuration > network >advanced settings I have selected attached image with interval 5 sec but I am not getting the attachment, just the notification.

I am accessing NVR over web interface and everything...

Hi Friends,
I am using Hikvision IR Network Camera DS-2CD2110F-I connected to a computer via network switch I didnt use any DVR or NVR for recording, Internet is available to computer and camera through Network switch. When i tried to add this camera to Ezviz app, its asking for Verification code.

Could any one please help me in getting this verification code and options to enable live streaming from anywhere.

I have a DS-7616NI-SP (fw V3.1.0) and a DS-2CD2345-I (fw V5.3.6) that I had connected via lan and was working fine. I am just rearranging things and trying to get the cam to operate direct from NVR port however it is not happening. I read the thread on issues with newer firmwares and syncing passwords so have changed the cam password so it is the same as the NVR but that has not resolved it.

Any suggestions on what to try next? I have an "@" in the password, can that be an issue?

Hi all, I've got 4 DS-2CD2032's attached to an NRV that I would like to use to send push alarm notifications to my phone.

I've setup the email notifications okay but feel it would be better if I used the push to app function..

I have configured everything correctly (as far as I can tell!) but an not receiving the notifications to the phone app?

The only thing that I can see that might be wrong is that within the app my device is showing as the NRV and not the individual camera. Could that...

Hi,

I installed 8 hikvision HD cameras and am using an HD DVR, unfortunately I could run only 30m VGA to the display which is about 20m away form the server room were the DVR is located.
Now my problem is the TV for the display is a Samsung Smart TV with no VGA port to I tried using VGA to HDMI converter but still I can't get the display on the TV.

I need help in resolving this issue if anyone can help asap

Hi,

Has anyone got the macOS web plugin to work? I did have it working, but no longer. I changed the IP address of the NVR, and also upgraded the firmware, and no joy now. It is fine with iVMS. The versions I'm using are:

macOS: 10.12.3
Safari: 10.0.3
NVR: Hikvision DS-7604NI-K1 / 4P firmware V3.4.90 build 160926
Safari plugin: 3.0.5.43

I've got the live view parameters set to use UDP - with TCP, I get "plugin failed", with UDP just a blank window. There are also constant errors in...

Hi,

I'm considering the following deployment of Hikvision cameras and NVR -
8 x DS-2CD2342WD-I 4MP cameras and a 8 channel Hikvision NVR.

4 of the cameras will be co-located near enough to the NVR to be physically plugged in to the rear of the NVR. The remaining 4 cameras will be placed in another building, connected to a 4 port POE switch and then to a Point to Point WiFi link to the building/lan where the NVR is located.

Firstly, does this suggested deployment sound possible?
