Please note that ONVIF is disabled by default in this latest V5.50 camera firmware version.
If you need to use ONVIF compatibility, to record your HikVision cameras on the NVR of another manufacturer for instance, then you will need to enable ONVIF first:

Hi all,

Is it possible to use the DS-KV8102-IM and have all video recorded on the NVR - (7616) weather activated or not and also have motion/intrusion features?

Is it possible to power this up using POE and not the distributer as it states? seems a bit overkill if you just want the 1 intercom and connect directly to a POE port on the NVR? If not the NVR what about a POE plug or just a standard 3pin plug socket with transformer?

Does anyone have any experience of non-hikvision intercoms...

Hi I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on an issue I am having with the above NVR. I have managed to receive alert and event notifications over email such as motion detect etc. The problem I am having is I am not getting screenshots or attachments of the event. Under configuration > network >advanced settings I have selected attached image with interval 5 sec but I am not getting the attachment, just the notification.

I am accessing NVR over web interface and everything...

Hi guys,

Hoping someone here can help.

I have a recently purchased DS-7608NI-K2/8P NVR - which has various 4mp cameras connected, directly on the NVR ports and also via LAN. Emails are set on line crossing and intrusion detection - they deliver and contain the snapshots as configured.

I have purchased a few 8mp cameras (2CD2185 & 2CD2385 models) now with a view to replacing one of the 4mp cameras, moving another and gaining a bit more camera coverage.

bricked Hikvision NVR (DS-7716N/16P)

Hi

I have bricked my NVR... Its a DS-7716N/16P . It boots now with constant beeps (maybe 10-15 beeps) and then reboots. I have downloaded TFTP tool from Hikvision. But it it cannot connect to the NVR. I can ping the address of it (192.0.0.64) but in TFTP it never sees it. I have tried turning off the firewall but no success. Is there any other way (serial) to recover the bricked NVR ?

How to connect HikVision cameras not directly connected to nVR

Hi,
Im setting up some cameras around my farm and trying to figure out how to add cameras not directly connected to the nVR?

I've got a 16 port hikvsion NVR and i've got some cameras connected to a POE switch in the barns, i've connected one of the POE ports on the NVR into another switch and this switch has an uplink to the other POE switch where the cameras are plugged in. I can't get the NVR to find the camera - if i plug in the POE switch directly into the NVR then it finds one camera...

Fisheye PoE camera and DVR

Hi All

I am using a 16 port DVR DS-7761NI on latest firmware. I have a fisheye PoE connected to a PoE switch with manual IP added to the DVR, it shows the channel 1 stream fine

How do I view the other angles of the fisheye through the DVR, it shows the 360 only view. If I browse to the static IP of the camera and login I can toggle through the views but cannot amend this in the DVR

I have a hikvision DS-7608NI-I2 / 8P firmware V3.4.92 build 170518 which is lastest firmware. I cannot get the email notifaction to work i tried very thing from this site and other sites is anything else is can try. Or is it a firmware problem?

Hi All,

I am a small business owner.

I installed a DS-7608NI-E2 / 8P/A with 3 hikvision cameras about 6 weeks ago.

All cameras are POE, all domes. Everything works perfectly. I'm new to CCTV but have a decent grasp of electronics and networking.

I run the NVR at my workplace and have been logging in from a local mac and 2 different remote macs, All using IVMS4200 V1.02.04.1 client software.

Following installation of IVMS 4200 on three different macs, I booted the software first time and...

It is very important to keep your camera and/or NVR firmware up-to-date.
The below link leads to a recent full disclosure of a weakness found in the firmware of HikVision devices.
The weakness was shared with HikVision back in March 2017.
HikVision released new firmware to resolve the issue.
Now, the weakness has been publicly fully disclosed:
"The vulnerability poses a severe risk. Because the vulnerability is trivial to exploit"

Default reset

So, less than two weeks after the email notification about the firmware update and before I had chance to do it my hiki was reset to default. Now going again and I have done the update. I've not read everything, but I didn't have a default password, the one they talk about is 12345, I had to set a password from the start. Now set a different one. The camera is just a webcam and not a security camera, so what is the point of the hack, if that is what reset the camera, as in my case I just...

I have 3 new IP-Cams DS2CD1631FWD-IZ. They work fine. But I don't find this product name on the HIKVISION homepage or on firmware update lists. The current firmware version is V5.4.5 build 170124, is there already a newer version?
