Downloaded Video Shows Black Screen

I am having problems viewing video from one particular camera connected to a NVR.

I have a DS-2CD4A25FWD-IZS camera and a DS-2CD2745F-IS camera connected to a DS-7604NI NVR.

I am unable to view video downloaded from the NVR (via the web interface) from the DS-2CD2745F-IS camera. Once a video has dowloaded, I get a black screen when I try to view it. I've tried two players (VLC and Windows Media Player - both of which are up to date) and the result is the same.

I'm making this plea again, because every day we continue to get calls and enquiries about "odd" issues, features "not working", cameras "gone faulty", cameras that have "gone offline", no longer being able to see video in my App, on my Mac, in IVMS-4200, in my browser, etc.
95% of those callers own HikVision systems.
50% of those callers are what you might term disbelieving when told they need to update their firmware.
Especially if it's a young female member of my team that gives...

Does Hikvision DS-2CD4A25FWD-IZH running V5.4.5 170302 still support LPR/ANPR?

Is there a LPR firmware for DS-2CD4A25FWD-IZH on V5.4.5 170302 that will work? Camera started with V5.3.0 150513 but I accidentally upgraded to the that regular firmware first.
I know that the older V5.3.8 build 160126 will work but camera won't let me go back to any firmware past V5.4.0.
I already tried LPR firmware V5.4.3 161207 (which worked great on my DS-2CD4A26FWD-IZH), V5.4.5 170123 and V5.4.5 170519 with no luck.

Any ideas?

the firmware is confusing!!

i have a ds-7204huh which is on firmware v3.5.50
but looks like i can install v4.1.00

but does say this
For DS-7204HUHI-K1/P & DS-7208/16HUHI-K2/P, please don’t upgrade the firmware from V3.5.50 directly to the released version, otherwise they will be defaulted

so i dont mind it going back to default, or should i go to a different firmware first?
i did try the upgrade but it says its a miss match.

what firmware should i go to first?

My Hikvision Hiwatch NVR-208M-A/8P 8 channel NVR has worked faultlessly with 7 cameras since installation last Octber

Last week I ordered a further Hiwatch IPC-D140 to use on the 8th channel.

The problem I now have is that the camera plugged into port 8 of the NVR is not displaying on the live view screen. I have proved the new camera and cable work OK on a port other than 8. version is different.

Hi all,

I've got 3 hikvision 4mp bullet cams and the requisite 1280zj bases

However, I cannot seem to find the proper cable glands to waterproof the ethernet cable going into the bottom.of the 1280zj base

Does anyone know/willing to share the sizes or a link to purchase?

We have seen a handful of people post here on the forum saying that they can't find the box to enter their encryption key when using iVMS-4200 on a Mac, we helped a customer with this today and it would appear that there is no way to enter the encryption key on the Mac version of the 4200 software.

Unable to playback recordings from Nvr

Hi,

Am a newbie here, having some trouble with playback from my nvr, I've listed the details below. My problem is I can playback the videos off both my cameras up until sunrise then I just keep getting an message saying 'connection unstable'

DS-7608NI-K2-8P

2 cameras DS-2CD2T55FWD-I5

Everything else seems to be up and running fine, I can access the nvr from 4g etc via the router and IP address, and both cameras on home network or off it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, We are getting desperate now for a solution to this, we have a 7208HQHI-F2/N/A running 8 'non branded' analogue dome cameras.
Some are cabled on coax with local power some are cabled on cat 5 with baluns at each end injecting power.

On install the quality was really good HD, one camera in particular was set up to read number plates and was very good, the police even recognised someone stealing a motorbike but the picture quality has gone awful recently about 18 months after install. You...

Hi, this is my first attempt at using an ip poe cam. I purchased the above cam second hand. I was assured that it is all in working order. The cam came with a Planet poe-171 and a 24v power supply. My first question is , do I use both?
I will take this one step at a time to get it up and running, any help will be much appreciated.
